Sadly, that issue can be anything :(

Beers for those who are working to fix it at this hour.:slove:

  • Hello, I've been playing Aion again with a new account for a week. My question is: do you still get a Gold Pack (7 days)? In the past you could simply pick up the gold package in the shop at manage bonuses, now you only get one mount.

  • In theory people could wait for prices to drop, but in real life it will never happen, maybe you will see a partial drop, but don't expect huge drops unless the item in question becomes less important.

For your theory to work you need a large group of really patient people with a beehive mind. But as we all now there are always enough people who lose patience and start acting on their own for whatever reason. Those with more money can always afford more and they can also afford to not wait as long as poorer people. So as soon as the price will drop enough for them (but not enough for you) they will buy all resources and you will be still forced to wait. And since GP is useful not only for other people when you are selling it for kinah, but also for owner himself to buy loot, you can't say that too many GPs in someone's account are wasted resources collecting dust.

In the game it all depends what benefits you get for GP and how people value those benefits; Click explained the reasons.

With inflation money becomes less important, check some true stories about hyperinflation in Third Reich, former Yugoslavia, Argentina etc. Foreign currencies or some other items become substitute for money in everyday transactions, like GP in the game. Money is useless if u don't spend it, cause u need items to survive, you cant eat money.

  • Man. When U go to Medicine Seller NPC for buy healing potion- do U see an inflation with prices created by pigs? - of course no. Or when U want to sell instance's drop, do U suffer inflation and receive less kinah than before, because of Aion reduced the % from base? - of course no.

Only Gold Pack sellers suffer inflation. I dont suffer it in-game. Taking the "pigs" argument is not an argument. People selling gold packs R farming pigs also, but with this putting prices +100% or even more make more kinah them with +100% less time.

U can have Ur own statement, inspirated by real life. Game is not a real life and game is not protected by law, so Ur prices cannot be judged with using Anti-Monopoly and Anti-Usury (google translate) regulations.

So .. U can put gold pack for even 400kk right now and Ur price will be true and right, and noone can report it to the relevant institutions (google translate).

Last case: now having this knowledge, why do U say about inflation from real life?

  • everyone suffers from the inflation not just gp sellers. inflation exist in the game because kinah keeps coming... it's generated all the time. the problem is... there isn't anything from the game that you can buy with it and spend it. the entire economy got destroyed since 6.0... with lots of valuable items npt tradable. there are some from the shop tho. you can probably buy some stigma enchants but when you are done there isn't much to buy. so ppl exchange the kinah that is piling up for stuff that has value or need it.... rare odians or runes and w/e.... few things that are allowed to be sold or traded.

when things are scarce... prices will increase because more ppl want the same item. most of the things in aion are rare... tedious to farm or to come by... so ppl are willing to pay whatever kinah they have accumulated. worse is when more ppl quit the game and fewer are buying gp from shop and sell it on broker... or less ppl farm valuable items in the game. the prices will go up even more for the ppl still playing the game.

  • most of the things in aion are rare... tedious to farm or to come by... so ppl are willing to pay whatever kinah they have accumulated.

Now do U see the parody and this, what i mean? I will still repeat: put powerful rune +0 to the broker for 3,5kkk. If it will be sold = the price was really good. Now without this sarcasm: the price really - was really good or maybe success troll attempt? Man - still trying defend all this pro sellers U do bad for Urself, but very good for them.

    I will repeat myself:

U can have Ur own statement, inspirated by real life. Game is not a real life and game is not protected by law, so Ur prices cannot be judged with using Anti-Monopoly and Anti-Usury (google translate) regulations.

So .. U can put gold pack for even 400kk right now and Ur price will be true and right, and noone can report it to the relevant institutions (google translate).

This exampled rune U can put for even 10kkk - because it is Ur choice - not a [...] inflation.

    Edit by Zapiel: Profanity.

  • you would be surprised how much in game economies act like real life economies. In the game there are some fixed prices, like reidentification, enchantment cost, and there are items with not fixed prices that are determined by players (supply&demand). We have almost non existent supply of important items with high demand for them and high influx of kinah.

I don't know what you call inflation, but "printing" big amount of money will make prices rise whether you call it inflation or not. And we are printing money with ToC pigs, up to almost half a billion per account per week. We also don't get important items, because gameforge unlike any other region don't seem to give us any events (except cash shop) that actually reward players and give us needed items as glowing odians, major runes, improved stigmas, S minions. So people get what they can: "bad" runes like exp, drop chance go for billions if they only have ultimate transformation. Kaisinel attack runes would go to tens of billions if you could find them

Player base - we want less RNG and more rewarding gameplay

Developers - we value your feedback and want to provide you with sense of pride and accomplishment by bringing .... RNG

  • ppl put up such prices because of 2 reasons:

1 is that they know ppl have this kind of money... from that past event when some accumulated up to 100 billions

others continued piling up kinah with other methods (there are screenshots of ppl opening 10 or more clients for luna)... and the newest method being toc.

2 is because things are scarce. when you see a fantasy rune at a scary price you don't think for yourself... i have the kinah but i will pass it... more runes will be put on broker and nobody else will buy it at this price... and ppl would not need this rune anyway (in a few months when so many will have ulti). when there is literally no supply of rare items when you look at the broker... this is what you get.

inflation comes in different ways in rl. a decrease of the power of a currency... national bank printing money... increasing costs of products... or a spike in demand and a shortage in supply.

when gp at broker was 20 millions kinah... the majority were not making that much farming every day for a month and there was a supply of gp. now it's the opposite. there is kinah but it has lost it's value because there aren't many things to spend on... and piling up. the supply of gp decreased and the demand of gp is increased because ppl in need of ulti form and you need 6 hp... other demand is elite rewards. the demand and supply alone is cousing the inflation... and printing money and no way to spend is another reason. atm it comes from different direction not just one.

  • Is there a way to turn off general character effects? I'm not talking about the attack/buff stuff under "Various settings", but effects like fireworks or transformation effects.

It's kinda starting to annoy me that whenever someone used a Nezekan potion and merely exists in the general vincinity, the screen starts going berserk every few seconds and there's fireworks and shit everywhere.

    High Quality Lightning Effects

this exampled ^ for Graphic Engine: High Quality

Run "file check" if U have such issues.

More, if U have nvidia - if U have marked Character LOD in aion - disble it in Ur graphic application.

If U have dedicated settings to aion in Ur graphic application, turn off everything in aion settings - what improves ur graphic application.

If U use Outline Correction in Aion settings, turn off Anisotrophic Filter in graphic application.

If U use anisotrophic filter in ur graphic app - turn outline correction to 0 in aion settings.

    ETC

Use Shift +F12 also, to hide all others

Turning everything off in aion, if U wear graphic app improvements - excludes texture settings. This has to match to ur graphic app settings
