Introduction
First of all, painter is a mid-range physical class which wears cloth gear and a spray (2h) as a weapon. It has many CC possibilities such as various stuns, para, slow, increase damage on target and does also have some aoe skills. Almost all skills have a 15m range.

Chains skills
Further information
- Like any class running forward will increase your skill damage, even for the ropes if you have runned in the seconds before.
- I do not note the MP consumtion for the skills, since one of the basic skills does absorb mana all the time. It is impossible to get out of mana.
- For using a strap skill the painter stands still since there is a cast, after that you can keep running, but your movement speed is slowed down.
- I did not mention the skill shock remove. It is the same like for every other class
- A target cannot be attacked with a strap skill if its already attacked by the same type of strap skil. In other words only one type of strap skill at the time.
- A strap skill is a debuff on a mob. A target has a maximum amount of debuff that it can have. If your strap debuff will be replaced by others, the strap skill cancels automatically. This means e.g. in world boss fights, that these strap skills are almost useless.
- In some areas (like divine siege or in dumaha) it is possible to flight. The passive skill for painter gives 8% more physical attack. In times of fixed values this is a huge push of attack!
- Strap skills are not castspeed depended, but the teleport is.
- The critmultiplier is 1.7
- Strap skills have a very low critrate.

- Sour Dye interupts anothers Painter Life Binding
- Addional Dmg of Work Destruction is not displayed in chat log.
Stigma setups
PvE
Single Target / Grp PvE
For small scale PvE I think there is no way around 30% damage increase and i recommend the following setup:
can be exchanged with , but i prefer glaze . I do not recommend use since i does deal only low damage since it is magical damage. and is must have in my opinion.
AoE (Inspired by Erufuun)
This build can be used if you prefer to play on AoE build. It can be usefull e.g. in Stella where you might collect many mobs together with a glad or an AT and kill them at once. is an addional aoe to your common skills. And the vision stigma will pull the targets together. Meanwhile, I believe that his build is the best for ToC. I also like this build in group PvP if you have e.g. a Glad and/or AT in your group, which of course needs good coordination, but its fun to play.
World Bosses
For world bosses we lose advantage of the damage increase debuffs and the strap skills which is explained in the pve rotation section. Therefore in this case in makes sense to use the vision.
PvP
For PvP its a bit more variable and depends on personal play style. There are different combinations possible. Here are two examples.
Para Build
In this build you have the major stigma which is good for interupting the target or gaining time to get your skills ready again. In example if your opponent used shock remove, you can use it to wait till the buff times out. After that you can stun lock and kill your opponent. You can use to paralize the target, deals some damage or put debuffs on it, maybe even cover silence, and finish with which deals addional damage to targets which are paralized and stuns it. In this build you can also replace with .
Airbind Build
With you have an addional nice stun skill. You can use or in the major stigma slot. This build also gains advantage over the target if the shock remove buff is gone. Use and to finish the target.
For the normal stigmas it depends on the situation or instance. If there is possiblity to life leech take and if not its better to take . For the beginning it is recommended to use and . If you have stigmas +9 you might add or can be useful in group pvp to encounter the cleric.
For PvP it is highly recommended to enchant stigmas. The class does benefit alot from the 2 addional normal slots since there are very good normal stigmas.

Please note that these are only suggestions bases on my experience.
Skillrotation
PvE
In PvE it depends on the situation which rotation to use. If you are doing common pve like instances or open world farming/questing you can basically do what you want. You shouldn't run out of skills. Always debuff your target with or first. You main chain also debuffs the target with -200 p.def. Your main damage skills are , and . As soon these skills are ready, use them. The damage strap is 10sec cd, the front aoe 12sec. In between you can use your other skills like you like.
At world, siege and other large scale bosses its another story. You lose your advantage of the strap skills. You can also forget to debuff the boss, since they disapper almost instantly or anyone else will use them anyways. So you just focus on a good rotation. This looks like following. You start to place and with the big CD skills like and in between every skill or chain you doing you have to use as a weave skill. By doing this you should still deal proper damage and not going out of skill.
PvP
Most important in PvP is to tickle the shock remove skill out of the opponent. As soon as this is gone, you win. So how to do this? With a high burst and combination of stuns. Here one example of a skill rotation:
In this rotation you have (depending on front aoe daeva skill) 3-4 stuns and a huge dmg.
Of course you have to watch evade buffs, shields, etc. As soon as the target uses shock remove, stop the chain and apply .
After that use and to finish the target or other skills.
This is just one example. In PvP you have a high dynamic fight and its good to train against different classes. I hope with this you get an idea and develop differnt rotation.
Some note at the end: even its very lame in my opinion, there is no way around . This skill is a guaranteed kill in combination with . For some reason (might also be a bug) you can still deal massive damage on the target. In 1on1 Arena e.g. the skill is a must have to be able to make it to the top ranks.
Upcoming Skill Changes
Here is a list of upcoming skill changes. I also note down which update it originally was.

Class Patch Nr. 14 (KR 7.2 - 31.7.19)
Change for all classes in this patch:
- Shock remove buff gives now 2000 shock resistance instead of 1000.
- Kromede Minions stun effect consideres now shock resistance buff.
- Sleep skills do not longer increase mdef of the target.
- Feared targets are buffed with 1000 pdef/mdef.
- The interval for all strap skills is now 1s (mostly was 0.5s or 0.3s Bof) DOWNGRADE!
