    I am currently trying to level an Alt and everywhere I go there are armies of bots TPing all over the map, in every zone, in every channel.


    To suggest otherwise is complete lunacy.

    There will be AP traders and Cheaters on EU.


    I dunno, I just felt some people couldnt wait to quit NA, my reason for quitting was when they nerfed all the open world drops. But everybody has a limit to what they will put up with.


    Lets really hope Gameforge learn all the lessons and you are indeed correct that the game lasts.

    I can answer those questions :


    There will be cheaters

    Player amount will be high for a month or 2, then drop

    P2W presence will be battlepass items, so far


    But if you are already having doubts, I doubt you will play for long.


    I get it, everybody wants the old Aion, thats never coming back, so you need to decide if you will play the version that exists now.


    After playing NA and seeing how easily people quit, im not hopeful this version will last long. It seems like Gameforge are trying, but IMO, people want 2009 and 2009 aint ever coming back.


    Im looking forward to it, but im really not expecting perfection or anything close, im not suggesting you are seeking perfection either.


    If nothing else you can sub for the first month and see if its for you, I suspect a vast number of people will very quickly realise that nostalgia wont be returning.


    Personally I think the old Aion was more about the friends we met along the way, they made Aion what it was. But I guess we find out.

    Mate, we know that GF can not change anything in the game, what bugs are you talking about? What do you think needs changing?


    But its pointless us going back and forth, I guess we find out tomorrow.


    My personal view is that the game itself is ready, they probably dont want to release over the Xmas holiday and then they want to give some time to build hype.


    I dont believe there is any work to be done, but as I say, we find out tomorrow.

    I agree, they have everything ready and I think they are waiting 3 months for fun.


    They wouldnt have announced if it wasnt ready to go.


    There were no bugs in 2.0, hence thats the patch they are starting with.

    Aside from the huge P2W concerns, my biggest issue is the drop nerfs they introduced in NA. I put up with most things, but losing the ability to get gold items from my late night Theo farm was the thing that made me quit.


    Sure I could make kinah from other means, but for me Aion PVE was always about the jackpot ability when farming.


    This was the thing that made me quit NA.

    There is no denying that the game would be more populated if it was free to play, but my concern would be the amount of bots and the amount of P2W they would need to add to make up their revenue.

    I quit Aion well before Gold packs were a thing, I presume they are similar to maybe Apex in Archeage?


    So by all means have these Gold pack things then. Give people the choice, they can either spend 10 euros a month on a sub or grind the kinah and buy a Gold pack from the broker that gives them a sub? Either way I think its moot and it will be sub based.


    Whether thats right or wrong, time will indeed tell, there is no denying that the game would be more populated if it was free to play, but I doubt that fits into Gameforges thinking and I can understand why not.

    Making it free to play will just mean they have to add MORE P2W to make it viable, I understand the point you are making, they probably will at some point, maybe the start, add P2W.


    And yes, making it free to play will mean more players, but I would rather have LESS P2W than more players.


    You have made your feelings quite clear tho, you have no interest in playing if the game has a sub model, there is no chance it will anything else IMO, so I hope you find a free game you enjoy.
