If there is a cleric and a chanter in group, it's more optimal for chanter to be main healer and cleric to go sacrificial. Chanters keep group alive easier than clerics and can boost groups damage, but it's the lowest solo damage class

, but ppl still think they can do huge amount of dmg with chanters, which isn't true...unfortunately :D, it's frustrating if you want to play dps, not to mention pvp :D, you can sustain some damage, but 0 chances against most of the classes. -
Yeah, I'm using RCS-RDS, but the lag problem was only in Aion, not across other games or applications. It's now fixed, but the support team is awful anyway.

There are only a couple of chanters (between 3-5) that can do over 100k dps on high-end bosses and almost each of them have tiamat or kaisinel +7 transforms, full geared (anima accs + ara nm accs), full improved stigmas. And even with those, ppl are still looking for dps classes like painter, sorc, sm, etc. So as I said, good luck finding your own group if you want to play dps chanter in instances. Your best chance is to find a group with mostly phyisical damage, but even so you will need to have your vision support stigma, which means you can't go full dps ^^.

Why would you go for dps as a chanter when in this patch with all daev skills and improved stigmas you can heal a lot, better than some clerics? Group pvp is practically dead in this patch, only if you run runatorium or ashuntal dred you can say you have group pvp. I'm playing as a chanter, go dps when play solo and full support in high end instances, especially if you don't have a cleric, or you have a cleric full dps or even hybrid.
Personally, I'm playing with mace+shield, healing boost set for group instances and staff when going dps, or for duo instances ( maka + prome nm, stella ez, beni ez).
Hope you have enough patience cause playing as a chanter and looking to do decent dmg requires gear and time. -

I had the same issue on saturday, huge spikes from 30ms to 120 all the time and many disconnects. Sunday was the same but then i decided to run aion through steam and the issues were gone
I'm running Aion through steam already and I also tried to run it without steam and it's the same.

No, it's not his connection. Several people are affected by lag and disconnects since last week. The game is unplayable, over 400-500 ms and loads of disconnects.
