This marks three days of disservice (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) as a Network Engineer myself I honestly can't understand what's taking you so long.

Any proper service provider (Azure, AWS, Cloud Flare) would've intervined in a two hours SLA, my only explanation is that you either have the servers in-house (maybe rented a small space in Aruba) and don't know how to handle a DDoS attack on your own Firewall or got a very cheap service provider (which doesn't know how to handle DDoS attacks).

Either way it doesn't matter, so far you have two healthy servers, a chance to grow a game that even though is old has a very stable player base (as your servers & hundred of private servers show).

That this means? It means that you'll keep getting DDoS attacks, your servers take business away from other servers, you need to scale up your infrastructure and get a proper protection service with a very small SLA (which means investing money and resources to then have a pay back).

If this keeps going no matter what compensation rewards you give, people will leave, once people leave getting them back is extremely hard, then it's a chain reaction, people leave because they see other people (& friends) leaving, servers die, income slows down.

I know I'm probably better off talking to a wall, since nobody with any decision power will read this, however, you guys have a chance and you're screwing it up spectacularly (keep in mind that no other game service provider has DDoS issues, I only ever saw those in private servers, which speaks volumes about the service you're providing).

So, basically your server decides to crash during Tahabata boss fight, people organize, invest resources, money (Siel, Battle Pass) and time and this is the service they get?

This is worse than a private server, I litterally have no words, the issue was reported, nothing was done, server was fine for a while and then this happens.

This is one of those quit moments where I quit, my friends quit alongside and you lose 10 paying players, then 20 and eventually you get a dead shell of a game.

    Thanks for nothing.

    Hello Gameforge,

please, start actively fighting off bots, as things stand right now (3 euros = 1 mil) buying directly from them nets way more value than buying your own battle pass.

Heck, even buying kinah from them and then buying Siel from players makes it cheaper than buying it directly from the store, don't you see the irony?

The economy is heading towards people that buy from them only (manastones being 100k each and enchantment stones being 400k each).

As for how you fight them, there is mostly one way: make it not profitable for them.

Having servers with virtual machines online 24/7 has a cost, having Siel to farm has a cost, if you start actively banning players that buy from them, you discourage the proccess because: players will be scared to lose their account -> they will think twice about buying -> gold sellers will have less consumers (thus less profit) -> they also keep getting banned (thus losing Siel money and resources) -> eventually it becomes less profitable or nets losses -> they leave.

With the current economy, where one hour farm nets around 300 - 500k, a legit player will struggle to do anything because prices will keep inflating from people that buy Kinah from sellers (heck, a single player that invest 100 euro could wipe out the entire broker from key items).

Please, do something, even if you have to hire an FTE for this it will eventually net you more profits (cause a well managed game with a positive press gains players overtime, instead of slowly dying to a bot ruined economy and over-priced under-valued cash shop, which will generate a bad press).

    Thank you.

Screenshots are meaningless, make a video.

I can assure you that as an Assassin I have more DPS and pull nowhere closer in 1 hour of farming, so, either some Elyos spots are boosted or Asmodians spots are garbage.

everything is possible with this game version, a lot of mobs have been nerfed, modified etc.

So, let me get this straight, just because (allegedly) you happened to find a single spot (in Theo) that drops well, you think everything is fine for everybody and nothing should be changed or fixed?

On the contrary, every single spot should be boosted to that level of drops, giving the game and players a breath economically.

I honestly cannot understand some people.

Screenshots are meaningless, make a video.

I can assure you that as an Assassin I have more DPS and pull nowhere closer in 1 hour of farming, so, either some Elyos spots are boosted (and Asmodians spots are garbage) or you're the most lucky person on the planet (and should go play the lottery).

One hour farming, with the 15% drop rate buff, as an Assassin (one that can weave, thus extremely fast killing speed).

Almost 200k, 2/3rds of mobs had empty loot.

Notice the chat, everyone struggling with money, this is going to be a huge quit moment for people, it needs to be addressed before the majority hits 50, people won't bother with this, you'll just lose players.

I can confirm the average 200k per hour on calydons/asmodian's equivalent area.

Giving the current prices of scrolls (10k each) that's 20 scrolls (let's assume you split them between run speed, attack speed and crit) that's 6.X scrolls x 5 minutes each = 33 minutes of PvP (not considering food or potions, since you drop them on those areas).

    Yeah, thanks but no thanks.

There are two main problems that should be addressed:

    1) Increasing manastone drops by at least 10 times (making it closer to the older version).

    2) Removing the sell nerf on trash items from the NPCs (thus, making it the same as the older version).

    Seriously Gameforge?

First the Siel, ok fine I'll pay a sub.

Then the Battle Pass, which is a huge benefit since the economy is extremely depressed (so those scrolls are very worthy).

    Now this?

I'm sick and tired of gaming companies creating problems to then sell the solution, this is not 2010, there are so many alternatives out there that people can play.

You didn't had much good-will to begin with, but seriously, you had to over-do it in any possible way.

It's not hard to understand that when you push pay to win this much the game ends up dying.

I honestly can't understand how those decisions got through the drawing board at Gameforge or how can people defend them.

You can't just over-nerf drop and sell rates on a game designed to give way more and call it a day, because all the expenses and money sinks remain untouched.

I'm already level 50 and I can't even socket my whole armor and weapons with bad manastones (talking about attack +2 and crit strike +6) meanwhile on the old version of Aion (1.5, retail, before NCSoft sold the EU version to you) I even had my BOW socketed, on an ASSASSIN, with the BEST WHITE MANASTONES for my level:

I inspect people in Dredgion or around me (level 50s) and almost nobody has full sockets with manastones, not even crappy ones.

And this is just the beginning, enchants? Consumables for PvP? Do you honestly exspect people to farm 5 hours to have 30 minutes of PvP on a game where you have to constantly up scrolls, potions and food?

If you wanted a different version of Aion, fine, but don't call it "Classic" because there is nothing "Classic" about this.

People tend to dislike when you waste their time by fooling them.

Completely agree, in my opinion this issue should get addressed as soon as possible (even if I'm extremely skeptical anything will be done, which will lead to the game slow death).

Right now there are some quests which give an influx of Kinah that allow you to barely survive, but once those run out playing the game (which has an insane amount of money sink) will become impossible.

Socketing an armor/weapon with the current prices and fail rates is almost impossible (which screws soft crit reliant classes) and the drop tables are completely broken (lv 45+ mobs dropping blue 25 items that sells for 7k or 47 white weapons that sell for 60k, when binding at an obelisk costs like 20k).

Not to mention that more than half of the time you kill a mob nothing is dropped.

And this doesn't even take into account pvp and its costs (scrolls, potions, kisks, etc.).
