  • Fullscreen Issue

    Appearantly NCSoft decided to remove exclusive Fullscreen. (According to Galeas on Discord) Windowed Fullscreen is usually just better though, just remember to set your Windows Scaling to 100% to prevent Aion from going haywire with its resolution (e.g. 125% forces 800x600 in Aion and thus looks like crap)

  • Error while installing the game - directx issue

    Try to reduce the number of programs running in the background (disable autostart for steam, epic, battlenet). Also Vanguard is pretty much malware disguised as an anti cheat, wouldn't be surprised if it causes the issue given Riot's track record of bugs.


    I don't even have GFE installed, I just manually update my GPU driver every month or so.

  • Fenstermodus - Aion classic

    Neuesten NVidia Treiber installieren, Monitor auf native Auflösung stellen, Windows Skalierung auf 100% (unabhängig davon wo "Empfohlen" steht). Wenns damit startet kannst in den Fenstermodus wechseln und danach deine alten Einstellungen wiederherstellen.


  • What is the current state of retail?

    While it's in pretty dire state, I think the game's still fun if you manage to find yourself a group to do stuff with and just mess around with the game ithout taking it to seriously. Of course you'll get obliterated by some crazy whale group from time to time, game IS a p2w fiesta in PvP sadly.


    Pros (if you don't mind time as a factor too much):

    Gold pack can be bought from broker, you make enough Kinah easily.

    You get a semi-decent PvE and +9 stigmata set upon reaching Level 76 by doing Kerubs tutorial.

    Armour and reasonable weapon (fighting spirit) is easy to farm, enchanting might take some time but is absolutely doable as well.

    Yellow and purple Manastones can be farmed within a day, red ones will accumulate over time while you just stick with purple ones until then
    First set off accessoires and feathers are done within a few weeks for the stats (getting +2 slots on everything will take ages though)

    There are multiple ways to get an ultimate transformation without chance and paying, but they will take some time (~4-6 months)

    Improved Stigmas and Daevanion Skills will takes some time, but are not too hard to get to improved either.


    Cons:

    If you want to have endgame stats in a few weeks at max, you'll be sorely dissappointed. Aion is really not a game for someone without patience.

    Way too much in this game depends on luck to unlock.

    Transformation- and Item-collections are a massive time sink and to some extend almost non completable for free players

    Getting runes and odians to more than +5/6 will take multiple items.

    Acrimony gear is pure p2w and also pretty busted. Don't think you'll go toe to toe with guys like sonos anytime.

    Check Task manager if the GF client is actually doing anything (so any CPU load, changing RAM or Disk activity) or just flat out idles. If it does something, just AFK for a few hours and let your PC finish the job (make sure to disable energy savings options so it stays active). If it truly just idles, uninstall the GF Client and anything GF related with Revo Uninstaller and get rid of any Registry / File leftovers using the most intensive searching option Revo offers. Then try to reinstall

    Sobald du 10 Level über den Mobs bist droppt nix mehr, war aber immer schon so. Mach dir einfach bis 76 keine Gedanken darüber, spam einfach die höchsten wiederholbaren Quests und du bist in n paar Stunden im "echten Spiel", aka Inggi/Gelk + Cross Server Welten

  • Kurze Frage - Kurze Antwort

    Die alten weißen und "gelben" (aka grüne Seltenheit) Manasteine droppen auf der Live Version seit 6.2 (Herbst 2018) schon nicht mehr und können auch nicht in 6.2+ Gear gespckelt werden. Die neuen Seltenheiten für Manasteine sind wie bei Equip Uralt/ Legendär / Ultimativ. Uralte gibt es in den Stufen 20/40/60/80, die anderen beiden nur 80. Nur die Droprates für Low Level Manasteine ist unterirdisch da du dein Sub 76 Gear gefühlt alle 10 Minuten wechselst (dementsprechend auch überhaupt nicht sockelst) und ins 76er Starter Set (Kerub Set) kannst dann eh schon die 80er reinpacken. Alles unter Level 76 ist reines Tutorial, und der Content is dementsprechend kastriert.

  • Glorypoint Ranking Reset.

    Finde es jetzt zwar nicht schlimm dass es nen Reset gab (Als Raidlead: Kata macht ohne Morphs definitiv mehr Spaß, no questions asked), aber (und jetzt sprech ich aus meinem Job als ITler) dass sowas unabsichtlich bei einer Wartung passiert und das Spiel trotzdem live geht ohne irgendwelche Maßnahmen is halt lächerlich. Tests, Backups etc. wurden anscheinend komplett vergessen.

  • Neuer Daeva Pass ist absolut verrückt.

    Benötigte Punkte auf 45 (angenommen kein Premium letzte Season): 4400


    1x alle Daily Quests = 65 Punkte

    26 mögliche Tage für Daily Quests = 26 x 65 Punkte = 1690 Punkte
    Bleiben noch 2710.


    1x alle Weekly Quests = 450 Punkte

    4 mögliche Wochen für Weekly Quests = 4 x 450 Punkte = 1800 Punkte

    Bleiben noch 910.


    Seasonals: Agent und Sakhril Chest sind zurzeit für Elyos de facto nicht machbar, also können nur 7 von 9 gewertet werden

    10x Tor Brigs: 200

    2x Sarna: 100

    2x FS Rüssi: 100

    1x Oath: 100

    5x Insignia: 150

    15x Tower: 100

    5x Trophies: 300

    Gesamt damit als Elyos maximal 1050 Punkte


    Damit hat man gerade mal 140 Punkte Spielraum um Level 45 zu erreichen. Heißt wenn man 3 mal im Monat verhindert ist, seine Dailys zu machen (Übernachtsarbeit, RL Notfall, ihr wisst schon, das Leben außerhalb eines idiotischen Spiels) ist der Pass automatisch nicht mehr abschließbar. Welcher Affe bei NCSoft hat sich diese Zahlen bitte ausgedacht?


    Glaube das Beste wäre eine Erhöhung der Weekly Punkte von 450 auf 520~530 (vor der Änderung warens 522 pro Woche), damit hätte man n bisschen Spielraum mehr

    Buff der Festungen hochgehen lassen für die nächste Season nehm ich an. Hast eh gesehen dass die fast unsterblich waren an der GF (knapp 6000 PvP Abwehr und 500K TP zusätzlich), die wollen nur unsere WGs verzögern beim nächsten GP reset. Bringt ihnen halt vl 1-2 Raids was, danach haben wir unsere WGs auch wieder spätestens voll.

    Just give the guy his name change ticket tbh - seems like a first offence without malicious intent. Used to be the standard for bad names, you didn't get banned, you were just forcibly renamed to 42s5e83f or something and got a name change ticket along with a warning
