    is it me or this post of Galeas sounded a bit more optimistic than the rest of the others so far? Anyway .. Im sure if you guys ever launch Classic in Europe even the people playing on NA will return here ( at least most of them cuz of ping) and future 8.0 version will be played as well.. I don't care what many people say but Aion is far from dead.. just people are frustrated with some things that are happening ..but i doubt that will last long.. We are here and waiting for Classic ! :slove:

    One thing I don't get with the Daeva Pass system on NA.


    It's cool, it gives you objectives to do in game, I think that's a very very big plus to Classic.


    However, the fact that you can pay to skip everything breaks my brain, why? Why have that? That defeats the purpose of everything. It ruins the fun.

    The greed of these companies...baffling.


    It takes the Classic version which ppl loved and turns it into a mobile mmo.


    If Gameforge goes this route as well, well... miss me with that sh**. I won't even bother explaining why that's so bad, should be obvious. It's like a game decides to make this fun interesting mechanic where u have to do objectives and in the end u get a cool title that's better than miragent, after all the weeks, hours, hard work, you finally get it.


    Then Bob comes and pushes "pay" and gets what you got thru playing for weeks in 1 second.

    i was saying this from the start people who think they WONT MONETIZE classic 2 the max are just delusional :)

    And LoL isn't a MMO, any reward doesn't matter, it's just mtx mostly.


    Any FPS game, same, doesn't matter, it won't affect you in game.


    But in a MMORPG it does, a title that's more OP than miragent/fenris that u can get in 1 click? Ok buddy.


    Why even have a system like that in place, that's designed to be fun and goal driven if u can just kill the fun by being able to by-pass the actual work.


    Yeah sorry folks, Aion Classic is DEAD if this model comes to EU as well.

    ofc it will come u think having classic for gameforge comes at zero cost? maintaining 1 new server , basically its 1 new game cuse its diferent client than what we got now....so ofc its gonna be monetized.


    :) even if at 1st they wont admit, or they will just put cosmetics in shop its gonna make a 360 turn towards money in the end 100 %.

    it is about money because it's a business for them. they want to make money... not to lose.


    but it's a short term business what they did in na. look at that server population numbers... visible going down every week.

    i prefer games and publishers that don't want just a quick grab. aion became just that with time but it was slowly going into this direction and we accepted all the bs along the way.

    Stop, they're not buying Amazon srv's. It doesn't cost that much to run a server in fact there's plenty of "other" Aion servers running atm built by Bob in their basement.


    Monthly fee should be enough monetization, with cash shop in skins. Anything else is just pure greed.

    What technical challenge is that, that you didnt make any progress in 8 months? [...]

    Ppl befor aion na classic release: classic will revive the game, classic is the best patch, classic is what everyone wants,classic is only p2p, its so awesome!!!
    Aion na classic after like 1 month: 1 pretty dead server already, 1 server with 'ok' population :D

    this dead server (3 weeks after release already dead, thats some next level) doenst has more players than retail, just saying xD retail is dead af too, but classic isnt better :D

    It rivaled EU retail (all servers combined) in the first few hours, maybe even beat it, BUT not anymore.... both are empty shells now. I wont even mention NA retail with those 200 players... ;)

    Is good like this. I don't need GF to play Aion Classic. I prefer 113 pings than play under GF. Even with 113 ping the servers that are running AionClassic are on AWS N.Virginia and are running on gaming optimized VMs. I don't event fell the ping more than that I can use VPN there with no issues. GF please don't publish AionClassic. Really we don't need you! If AionClassic comes to the EU please let another publisher do it or even NCSoft :P All they had to do is to run a cloud formation ( or terraform) in the AWS Frankfurt region and done :P Those technical issues are coming from the fact your technical team kinda needs some more knowledge how to do it ?

    good for you. most eu ppl report closer to 200 ping in na... and worse... it spikes a lot. there is a difference like from earth to the skies when you play a melee in na and a melee in eu.

    good thing eu ppl are not stuck in fire temple and we moved on from this instance long time ago.

    i wouldn't go as far as say that server has more than eu... because it hasn't... but whatever makes you cope with that atrocity called classic aion.

    5000+ on both servers is sure more than EU had in years.

    what are you dreaming, Israphael cant even rech 2k players XD

    BOTH read buddy. (~3500 Siel ~1500 israphel)

    Still a very very [...] population due the fact it just got released, 1-2 months and will be as dead as retail in eu. ^^
