    About this new event with chocolate... Lol seriously every event now will be like we farm hours long and then have to pay kinah? 200-300 million for 7-7.5k coin. I guess its still a way of trying to fix the old ganker event (which was working as intended?)

    But lol who cares most people are not sitting on billions of kinah right? Now we are expected to farm hundreds of millions before "events" while we still need kinah for our gear and so on.

    You don't need to make a char on opposite faction to complete 66 HT quests if you are playing the game for at least 6 months now.


    People were saying it's impossible to complete full optional HT for leg contract if you're a new player or naked (again if you're a brand new player should you expect to get highest tier of rewards in 1 day? xD) then my suggestion was that you can make a fresh level 80 char on the opposite faction to do a few quests (udas,eso,makarna,pw bosses)


    Also are you really complaining about max 375m for a pixel contract? :|

    Dunno about you guys but sometimes I dont "absorb" some information. The chocolate pixel contract is selectable (reading is hard ikr).

    Contract from HT, the one from boss quests, has a chance for a pixel so remember to open the chocolate one after you open the one from HT ;)

    If 300m is a lot for somebody for a selectable pixel then it's nothing they should aim for and nothing that would help them at all do you not understand that?

    About kinah issue. I have a pve sm alt, old titan coin weapon +15, ambush/protectorate gear, stigmas+0.


    I can solo pw normal in 12min. From 8 runs yesterday I have got 6 ult items and 5 jorgoth's weapons.


    From my observation you get 17 coins from 10 chocolate on average. Thats 4411 chocolates, around 220kk kinah.


    For a selectable pixel kek.


    I still despise the fact you have to bot dozen of hours to get chocolates.

    When doing 8 runs (generally 2 chars on "normal" weeks), I'm happy if I have 1 ult x)

    The heck? Pass me some of your luck man. I've been getting 14.5 coins for 10 chocolates. And I did the same 8 solo runs and I got 1 ultimate and 0 jorgoth's. In fact, don't know why, but I've never gotten any jorgoth's when doing prometun's workshop (normal) alone, only if I do it with people. Perhaps I'm simply unlucky.

    As a side comment: It's getting irritating to bot so much, specially when going to sleep and getting AFK disconnected after 39 minutes. Nice energy consumption for nothing. If anyone knows a trick to avoid that, I'll take it.


    Also, besides ancient contract, selectable pixel, ultimate enchantment stones and consumables prices, the other items look overpriced, particularly the vision weapon. One time and kinah-consuming chocolate event + time-consuming hero trials at the same time, it just feels overwhelming.

    Hey man why are you lying, it's impossible to even do udas solo unless you have at least full shiny gear with enhanced ulti manastone, +25 daeva skills and stigmas, 90% transform and item collections complete and +12 runes.


    You're just an overgeared liar doing stuff that nobody else can, this game is too hard, can this company give me more free stuff in a f2p game, I'm gonna continue to sit here with my hand out wanting more rewards instantly and without effort despite people not having these items and have been playing actively since 6.0 because I deserve it because I still go 6 man pw nm and getting a selectable pixel or ult form will allow me to do all the hard bosses like beritra and stormwing

    as for new event event i can use bot and do other things in that time so quite nice

    About Ur: "This event would have been really great without the need to spend kinah" - it is aion's currency in-game. The best possible way for this event. Better sgould be shugo gold? - not everyone has that currency.

    Same here. I simply can´t do both, hero trials AND valentines/pirate event, because of lack of time. When I do the very time-eating hero trial quests, I can´t farm the tons of chocolate and vice versa.

    The decision wasn´t very hard for me: hero trials are very time-eating, I won´t reach 66 done quests anyways and the instance boss killing extra contract would be lots of work too. Alternatively I can ran my char with afk bot farming chocolate while I watch TV or do something else and in the end I get in best case 3 legendary contracts, the missing parts for my ambush gear and maybe other useful things.Easy decision which way to go.... :D

    you guys progressed so much through the game that you forgot how it is to start again. and this isn't 3.0 anymore where you can list just your requirement gear so others can replicate the result. he forgot to mention he has ulti form and by how active he is he probably has many collections buffs. titan/protectorate gear is barely worse that what the game has to offer in instances but now you need to level up ingg/gelk and collect a bunch of exp insignias to buy the gear, same with katalam for accs. there is no starter legendary gear anymore so the process is not easy, i know because i tried with a new char and mobs have lots of defenses. until you spend like a couple of weeks to gear up with basic gear even the easy instances are hard. you have no good minion when you start, you have no cubes for lots of atk and def, you have no glyphs, no collections, no good transform. when your account is giving you a few k of atk and defenses because of all the passive buffs you got by farming for a long time even to new chars seem easy. and somehow they managed to screw players with enchants because it was easier in 6.0. getting +15 gear is no easy task for anyone new. hard to collect, expesive to try your chance and they fail a lot. unless you find someone o carry you in instances gl getting stuff in the game, which is never happening because geared players are only good at giving advices and not actually helping. and lets not start the whole dps thing. your first instance has bad dps? then nobody would join your groups and nobody will invite you either. good for you that you find the time to do all the HT, have the time to farm chocolate, have the time to farm hundreds of millions of kinah to be able to enjoy the event, and time to farm 8x instances and weeklies. but you have to remember that not many have this much time to invest in a game and ppl don't have these friends around with absolutly best gear and ready to spend in the shop any time. anyway... good game.if this is how aion should be played and players are condoning this style of gameplay and events then the game deserves its fate.

    That wasnt obviously an advice for a day1 new player that has green form from campaign quest.


    But if you play 1 month or few months etc doing pw/maka duo with a friend shouldnt be a problem.


    Cant say I remember when we got Pixels in the game but its prolly a year it not more. Selectable Pixel for the attack collection... 250kk is nothing.


    Of couse it wouldnt hurt if the exchange chocolates -> coins was free but cmon...

    i can agree that pixel is an obvious choice or priority because you can't fuse for one and there is really no other ingame option for it. but this whole things is bundled together with other events, special designed to hinder someone's progress because you don't physically have time for all.


    the same atk or def collections can be found when you collect halloween contracts and we have one event right now. same deal as the pixel, can't be fused and can't be found outside the events so you are forced to do them. it takes all the time to do them so obviously less time for something else. let's not forget about not being able to finish most HT because they thought it's a great idea to put all the stupid instances that even the publisher team isn't able to figure out how to finish these instances, or randomly dropping mobs on all the maps with no regards to spawn rate, density of players or guards taking the kill.


    if you spent your kinah on other valuable items before the event you have to farm kinah again. sure, for me it's easy because i can solo pw/mk on more than one char but it's taking whole weekends for that. each pw run is around 15m kinah more or less because i don't have the luck for good items drops. what is lower geared players than me going to do, run whole day udas for 2-4m kinah each run? on multiple chars if they took the time to make alts? everything adds up. weeklies or normal instances runs? forget about it because unless you spend your life in aion there is no way to do more than an event at a time.


    every single time they do this. no event week(s) and then throw them all together giving the illusion you will get so much stuff. it's only there to take your eyes because you won't have them because of no time. are you able to farm and afford kinah for 3 contracts and those 2-4 lvl minions? necessary items because we all need for fusions or ss minion. and this is just one event. do you need basic stigma enchants from the event or gear parts? overpriced compared with what the game has to offer but hey we put items in there for the players. their idea is to not have time so you can spend in the shop to finish the events. every single time they do this. they don't ever take the time to test events or fix bugs in time but they take the time to nerf them every time. how they find time only for that? they know the only thing that is working is their shop and in their opinion it's fine and all the game needs. how is that the ingame bot is now a mandatory tool for events when half the playerbase was against implementing in the first place? it's so bugged that no surprise when i see others around using a real bot. what am i going to do, report them for autohunting and them telling me it's a feature they added to the game? i'm not sure if they are this incompetent or just planning everything carefully to laugh at us.

    Do you start a new game knowing 0 about it and hope to do endgame content after 3h? (that's how long it takes to level)


    No you don't .


    There's plenty of info out there about lurkers to farm gear, there's also legions full of new players you can join to build groups with to progress, it's an mmo after all you aren't supposed to try to do everything yourself from day 0


    Getting kata to level 3 so you can buy gear with exp only takes a few hours.


    Again, if you think you need ult form to do endgame pve stuff then you have much bigger problems to worry about than getting an ulti form.


    Also it's a f2p game, the company needs to make money and have good activity stats which means the more players they can keep online for a long period (chocolate farm) the higher the active players look.


    If they give you everything for free then


    1) how do they make money

    2) what incentive is there for you to keep playing


    Now before you get all excited I'm not saying the way that they handle the game atm is good or right, I suggested already more than 6 months ago that they should give the following items to a freshly made account


    Selectable leg form

    Selectable a rank minion

    A set of +9 or 12 untradable and unenchantable stigmas


    The problem here is that you think that every event should be completable by somebody that has played the game for 1 week makes absolutely no sense, the ht can be completed easily by anybody who's been playing for the last 6 months which most of you here crying have been, yes it's not perfect and the ow mob and boss spawns are terrible but gf don't play aion so they don't understand anything (non updated rewards for rubiki coins, ye bro I really need ambush accessories and feathers).


    If you're new, play the game and progress like you're supposed to and find friends to play with.


    If you're geared enough and can't do stuff take a look at yourself and try to improve your understanding of your class and the game


    If you don't want to gear up or don't want to play with others then I think mmos are the wrong place for you

    Kinah nowadays bases on stuff like solo'ing instances (if you can do that) and the past events all try to take your kinah from you in the first place. So if you don't have the gear the event is difficult to manage, if you have it you need to take care of your own kinah first. For the last year I spent about 13 billion kinah if I ignore the income. Certainly I'm rather lazy, but there isn't much to do except for tons of instances or if you eventually have a static to sell certain IDs (though I suppose that here as well some major sources of income eventually dried up unless people want to pay for anima stones). Most event stuff can't be sold for ages, so it's not like this generates much either.

    Now the event wants to pay me another x hundred million kinah so it's rather doubtful that I would be able to do instances in the same time with ppl who reduce the expected 15 million to 0-2 million.


    Furthermore it's not like some bad dps (which will happen to everyone) will affect you for a long time. Usually you start off with instances where nobody cares about your gear/dps much (Prometun NM, Makarna NM, Stella EM, Beni EM). It starts only afterwards in regard of Beni NM, Ara EM and Stella NM which are more or less the "middle instances" where some gear (or Cubes) are recommended to some extend ( yeah, I know, I didn't farm these cubes either, but you can compensate bad gear with them a little).

    I'm aware that some people have weird expectations and tell you "omg Protectorate and bad stigmas" or smt in case of Stella NM, but that's usually because they're not as knowledgeable themselves either, they often don't know the instance as well etc. Well, tbh I wouldn't expect mechanics from a random group either. The last time the Stella NM boss went up 3-4 died only from not opening their wings to glide up. They probably never had to face this because they either started Aion late or the instance was too difficult in 7.0. They don't learn or want to learn it either, because it rarely occurs in their weekly runs. So everything's pushed on gear requirements. Especially if they're not as strong themselves (and yes, some may want to win the time attack as well).


    Still some requirements remain to be ridiculous. E.g. "at least 80k DPS on Barkhan/Yarkhan". This can even occur if you have gear + improved Stigmas depending on class, cubes, circumstances (e.g. not attacking Yarkhan because you'd pull it directly otherwise)....

    Depending on group/setup/time my DPS jumps between 100.000 and 150.000 in one instance. That's simply a huge difference - and you can do simple stuff such as Yarkhan/Barkhan with mediocre people in the first place without any issues or much of a time loss.

    but events aren't end game content now, is it? sure... you don't go for the pixel or other end game stuff but for lower stuff. why give basic pots, give stigma enchants and ambush gear at the event npc if it doesn't address to the newish player? for who is designed then? if someone new asks in chat any veteran player how to progress in the game and they will tell you through events. you will probably give the same answer because it's the only way we get progress. so much stuff has moved to the events and shop and not being able to find it in the game


    you have to try lurkers as a new player. a lot of them are likely to kill you before you kill them but others are easier. some ppl will ks you. then run the whole map in the hope you will find one available because you aren't the only player searching for them. if i take a look right now i'm sure most of them are already on cd. they are not laying around for me to kill them and take their loot. and those dredgion spawn are quite hard even for moderate player.


    there was a time when this game was alive and we saw recruitment messages everywhere. were do i see those legions recruiting new players or full of them now? the recruitment messages are dead and the legions recruiting are only trying to get geared players. how do you get geared with not many willing to play with you in instances? it's all based on dps meter even if it's just stela easy 6 players or something similar. ppl got so dependent of it that is now detrimental to the community and gameplay in general. can you blame them? it's easy to fail some instances and with so much to do in the game many players want the safest route.


    getting kata to lvl 3 only takes a few hours for you and me. have you tried killing mobs on those maps as new player? you barely scratch them and then someone from the opposite faction might scratch you from this map. after getting lvl 3 you need insignias that you have to farm... slowly.


    how do they make money as a f2p game? i can answer with another question. how they did it back then in 3.0? we had gp, some fashion and other non critical items. then and veteran rewards then elite veteran rewards and fast forward to this day when almost anything important in the game is there in the shop. i call this getting greedy over time. it's not even cheap. some items are 10x cheaper in korea and sure as hell they are richer than most europeans.


    no i don't think someone that is playing the game for one week should be awarded the same stuff but i don't the other way should be the way. i know it's a mmo and that means some kind of progress but when you give most stuff to already geared players you're only widening the gap between players. there are so many things to farm in this game that you will fall further behind in all of them because you speed of getting things is slower. and the progress stops nowhere in this game. even you as a veteran and very active player for years still has to farm stuff all the time because you didn't reach an end. it's a neverending race to be able to do pve or pvp instances and not kicked out. but you did advice ppl to make a char on other faction because then you are able to complete. which i don't agree with the method or the thing in general.


    but sure i can't deny your opinions if you're fine with them and that is your own experience. is that others have different experiences. i'm glad you enjoy it. at least one of us is having fun from all this. i enjoyed mmos more than other games for many years but my problem is that i find it that the game devs and pubs of aion are disingenuous. they are never transparent and when they are they present you some superficial truth and not all of it and their events are deceitful and misleading.

    I made an asmo char last week on stormwing, I had gear from acorns and nothing else (a templar which has by far the lowest dps in game), I managed to find lurkers and kill them alone (even elite ones, they are all melee so can be kited by ranged classes and love eating stuns), I did udas with that gear too.


    You're writing some stuff like "people want easy rides through stuff" well go play hello kitty online? Like what do you want? A server that is full of people with gear but 0 idea how to play the game? :|
