  • But thats more because "some" players have more influence on GF (not with cash, but with Vitamine B), so Content Creators, that these players don´t like or don´t want to get too much attention are cut of early.
Same thing with my Aion News, ppl complained that its all Fake News and Misinformations, so I lost my Content Creator Status on Discord.
Content Creators promote the game (almost) for free, so it´s advertisment for free for Gameforge, but they don´t bother or don´t see the possible impact on that.
It would be easy for them to simply support everyone that want to create Content for Aion, but they simply don´t want to.

Given history of gameforge and "their" "content creators" (I won't name anyone), there's no surprise gameforge don't take this form of advertisment too serious.

I mean. They either collab with a [...], or with aion streamers, where it don't really helps bringing new players to the game.

Then again, I want to belive gameforge is well aware that there's no way in hell a new player would stay in game for more than 1 week given how badly it's managed.

  • I don't understand this company [...] For them it would be better to communicate with their playerbase and clear some information about the releasing of Aion classic or so called "technical issues". If there is no information from them by June 23, I am sure they will lose a large number of players (they won't come back). I guess they don’t expect players to come back to EU servers in half a year, when they already spend money on subscription and time on NA servers. I don't see the point of releasing the game in EU after that.

  • They can always request ncwest to region lock their version, so all the players from gameforge's region won't be able to play in NA.

You know, same thing RU requested NA to do in 2019

  • But they can't do that after I bought the game spend subscription on the game. Legal precedence. They can do it before release. NCSOFT already stated many times it is global release. So don't know.

  • Don´t think that GF is stupid, either they understimate the impact that classic would have or they simply can´t solve the problems with the lowest amount of money possible and willing to spend.

But I agree to you, that after the 23.6. they´ll loose players if they planning to release Classic.

They had a chance last week, instead of "teasing" 7.9.2 they should have communicated abouut classic. It´s ok to "tease" the newest patch, but ppl wait for classic and highly demand it and with beeing silent about it, it makes players angry. Players asking for an explanation about the issuses for over 3 months and still nothing.

But we already know the communication strategy of GF. If it´ll bring the company money, it´ll be announced over and over again, like Coin Events (almost every 10 minutes via ingame chat). We haven´t had a Daeva´s Tavern in months. Maybe this would be a way to communicate on a regulary base, but regulary doesn´t mean what GF does right now.

I also know, that either the mods, nor Galeas can write anything without approval, but for us players it looks like simply nothing is progressing, only the income of GF is progressing with nearly weekly flash auctions and Promos over Promos.

So maybe now it would be time to change for the better if they really want to bring out classic or make sure that the retail version survives as long as players have premium time (e.g. in my case like 8 Years left of Gold Pack time).

But I guess that nothing will happen like everytime. Silence till the end.

NC Soft West isn´t NC Soft Korea with which Gameforge has contracts, so why should NC Soft West care at all what Gameforge requests?

  • joined NA classic discord n theres legion recruitments n it looks like majority of players well mby not majority but alot of em are from EU but i dont think its effecting the current player base on eu as most of those are old players that quit aion 5.x++ but these are all potential players that could of played classic on eu n they will befriend ppl/ find the ones they used to know n aint gonna come back to EU even if we get that classic, sure some will come back cuz they will want to be TOP but theres very low percent of how many ppl can be at the top, atleast europe as a whole loves aion more n has bigger player base n thats the only saving grace we have left..

Because, NCWest do not have right to distribute the game within Europe (as that region belongs to Gameforge) and by not preventing it they're causing active profit loss to Gameforge. Atleast that was the reasoning with Inova-NCWest.

Not saying they have to do that, but that likely is an option.

But they can't do that after I bought the game spend subscription on the game. Legal precedence. They can do it before release. NCSOFT already stated many times it is global release. So don't know.

That's perfectly valid point. While retail was free to play, classic is sub to play so it in fact might likely be different in this case.

    My bad

  • For now, they have the right to publish Aion, but contracts can be terminated. I am convinced that NCSOFT and GAMEFORGE have a clause in their contract in which there are set specific conditions under which one or the other party can withdrawn. In my opinion, GAMEFORGE is restricting NCSOFT from releasing Aion classic in EU, because it competes with the other game SOLO. They can make excuses like “technical problems,” but the truth lies elsewhere.

Na has already stated they will not be locking regions, players are welcome to play NA from all over.

  • ncwest never restricted players from eu in any game. you want to play aion... nobody that i know from eu has been banned so far since 2012 (gf in eu). you want to play lineage 2... innova owns the eu and russia rights for main and classic but you can still play very well in na. in fact players in na voted in one of the servers for eu times in that game and they have eu timezone in an na game. then ncwest opened classic servers and didn't ask players... they made one for eu timezone knowing in eu there is a publisher. innova has p2p and ncwest f2p and most players wanted f2p. how about that?

from what i remember they blocked russia because in a game that was almost impossible to hack some russians managed that in different occasions... and before that they were allowed to play in na. and chinese players have been allowed too but they formed entire clans of bots and the most amount of bots they had to deal with were from china... so another country ban. ncwest is indeed global... aside from some countries where political and economic restrictions are in place.
