Display Morenot sure there's no p2w I'd be curious to know what's in it.
I have seen many who opened this shop and there was nothing of p2win items in there...
but look for yourself and then decide
well if you have a screen about what's in it I'll be a taker.
because I'd be interested in what's in their quna store.
Good. Some things should be more available. I would disagree with scrolls in cash shop (if you get more than the initial ones) but everything else is okay.
Not much you can p2w in this version anyway, besides if they have straight up gear in cash shop or enchanting stones/manastones/relics/medals etc.
The whole p2w started with 3.* when plumes were introduced.
Tbh scrolls/food/manastones in the shop are fair game as long as it's expensive enough to not ruin the economy (= expensive enough to not steal the business from the crafters)
Pets being in the shop is normal as well, It's only convenience, nothing p2w.
Skins in the shop as it should be.
So far so good, but it's to be expected since it's only the start, they don't wanna make people leave before they even started. Let's see how it goes in the next few weeks/months.
still need to be very careful, if you give them a pass on even negligible p2w, years later it will become the same p2w fiesta as retail is now.
Display MoreWhat happened to those?
We all knew that GF deleted their posts containing stuff like "There will be no p2w, cosmetics only." off their own old forums and Twitter account, however I wonder what exactly happened to those promises.

What circumstances can lead a company to deliberately claim that free to play has a bad reputation and that they want to change that, but at the same time become one of the most notorious p2w publishers in the world a few years later?

Anything that's manufactured by game mechanics is not meant to be in the store, especially in the so called Classic experience and there're several reasons why.
Naturally I believe people running this game will be brained enough so I don't know why I even bother typing this one down.
I think I might have been triggered by your "I hate stupid people" after having read your message. Pardon me. Kekw.

The danger is something like what the VR system turned out to be in the end making a return here, I suppose. It wasn't a bad gesture in the beginning, giving a few relics per character as a thanks for subscribing, but having temperings and omegas available for 8 chars every 6 months was pretty broken.
Plumes/feathers were 4.x items together with temperings/serums and enchantable accessories. 4.7 (or .8?) introduced breakthrough enchanting and omegas.

We all know there will be an ingame shop if we ever get a EU classic, so yeah, might as well accept that they sell scrolls/food pets reset scrolls and such rather than seeing them sell AP relics, medals or even gear atleast that's not gonna ruin people's experience.
They just need to stay expensive enough to not take the crafters job.
Don't ever think that gameforge will stop at selling you a goldpack per month. But if they wanna sell me more things, then atleast sell me things that won't ruin the game.
I dont think, that selling AP or Armor is killing the game, the thing, that ppl only want to farm ingame and spending tons of hours with ingame farming is the problem that is killing games.
Some people got used to buying the items asap from shop and GF will loose money if they leave live servers for x amount of time in order to join the classic server. And of course who can trust GF on maintaining a descent f2p model? The only thing they care for is money.
anyone know how many are playing classic yet what's the numbers like on the servers
there are too many things that kill aion but for me personally right now it's the rng that's everywhere and I think that's the main factor right now that's causing people to leave aion.(of course this is my personal opinion) of course there are other factors as well
Aion 1.9
the best mmorpg

seeing who low the rates are and how much gf can earn from this i would call it pure gambling.

When Vashiro was in queue to log in, there were 5500 people in front of him in the queue. Not sure if that was just on the one server or both.
In any case the start of aion classic doesn't seem to have failed unlike the eas server (eas server=the server has less than 10 people on it) :p
Doesn't matter how many ppl are playing on the release, the important will be how many ppl will play it after a month or more

If you instantly buy the whole gear, why do you even play? there is nothing left to do aside from flexing your wallet on people who cannot cash as much as you, which is the reason why mmos are a dead genre.

if you want p2w u can stick to live servers , what is the point of having a classic server if they put gear in shop ?
