AT can do pretty much as much as templar + do more damage.
Can't really thing of reason for picking templar over AT

=] I play both classes and i really don't feel like templar has much higher survivability. You take less dmg, but not a lot less and at the cost of a lot lower dps. Templar only increases one other team mate dps (with single bg) while AT increased it for everyone. I'd choose templar only when going with noobs to protect them from getting oneshot or when i need to keep aggro from a lot better geared players than my tech. Without improved stuff on AT it is pretty hard to keep aggro, especially when bosses got aggro reset mechanics.
When tank is a Robot, Chanter or Bard cannot put their shield working for all party, caus Robot will lose his buff ONLY FOR HIMSELF XD and all party will die. That is why i wont Robot in party as a tank. Sorry, but for me such mode is too much annoying - ofc annoying for party, not for a Robot.
What do you even mean ? chant/bard/cleric shields overwrites AT's buff yes, but it has nothing to do with the rest of the group. A smart AT will keep his shield and not use it instantly, just saying.

I mean, if Robot is a tank, everytime when i was with him - always 1 or 2 people from pt must die. Sorry, this is true from my experience pve. And also, to avoid some words - people were not "new" or not much experienced. Mamy very experienced pve people in servers exist - really, with very good successes. It is just "a Robot beauty".

Depends on the situation, no? I feel like a glad+support chanter is kind of a must in a heavy phys dmg group.

The dmg push a gladiator gives for the phys. group is not high enough imo to prioritize him over for example a sorc, since the amount of dmg sorc does more than the gladiator is most of time higher then all the dmg gladiator pushes the physicals.

Some interesting points of view.
Anyway, I have to add that on paper, and giving the KR input and streams, they still put templar and cleric as generally the highest rated. Even those KR you show can form the wrong impression sometimes. For example Better/Accepter put certain videos on youtube but in his daily streams of arenas, he is usually getting beaten by templars quite often and that in fully defensive mode and sometimes in one rotation. The only way to beat templar with gladiator is with luck of procs. That class can also deal with more other classes than gladiator can deal with. Chanters with multiple sets can barely get any damage from dps classes and they can deal even with assassins.
So the more money you have for different gear stats and different manastones, odians +7/+8 as KR players have for certain skills, or runes +10 and so on, the better your class is. You can deal with certain classes differently in arena, because you can change gear, runes, odians, daeva skills. The tier list is dictated by money, rng of getting certain items and rng of skills. Too many variables imo. It's not like in the earlier days where each for example each assassin were a copy of another, with same gear, same stigma, same skills, almost the same stats.
About templar in pve, I still think it's useful for last boss in PW. You can grab the mobs and the group can stay in one spot to not get one shot, and aoe the mobs with the boss. It's also a safer choice for a group that is not max geared.

Nah, chanter vs chanter or chanter vs cleric are stupid match-up. No one kill anyone. Same, templar vs chanter ? not sure anyone kill anyone xD
Right now, I've never seen a chanter OS/twoshot/treeshot me (equal stuff), but I've seen sin do it. Literally. When you take 40k x3 in less than a second, you just can't play.
Assassins are not as great in groups (runa) as in solo, as you're probably helpless in vs 4 plates 2 chains setup, but I wouldn't say it's B-C tier or lower. It has it's uses, depending of group setup and enemy group setup. You don't rely a lot on debuffs like other classes and you're still capable of bursts and stuns.

You have forgot that just because a class makes more dmg it doesnt mean that its better for every situation.
Doesn't matter how much easier to play with AT compared to Templar. , AT wont able to support pt in some really hard situations much as a Templar could have.
About this "tier list" i would say its more like about which classes are less complex and easier to use so of course most of the new classes are better compared to most of the old ones if someone experienced plays with them. Plus lets not forget that now its more about gear and enchanted w/e bs more than ever before + ofc cubes.
