Ok, you can´t get this items directely. But, you can get Legendary Transformations (without the cash shop) and fuse them, so you can get Ulti Transfo with luck. And the same with S-Minion. You can get A-Minions from Minionite Warehouse and upgrade them and fuse to S. You don´t need to use cash shop. Its only a way to get things maybe faster.

So dont say No. You can get these things. But it´ll take time.

Sure you understand what RNG means? You can play 100 years and fuse 1000 legendary transfos/A-shimiols and still don´t have ultimate transformation or S-shimiol. Time plays no role here, it´s luck based only and nothing else. And you can increase your chances to have luck by cashing RNG items in cash shop like crazy.

But lets stay at topic: after playing AION last eight years and watching live how this game got mismanaged from year to year: definitely NO, its NOT worth downloading and playing AION again when you already left this game [...]

Found this korean video, even with auto translate subtitles, very useful and explain everything as it should be done, but we don't have (interest) EU version. [Cheer to all those EU streamers/youtubers,who gives us free goldpacks or show us how to open boxes or unfold their pvp/pve skills (like we cant notice if they are 'geared' to the teeth or not ...shshsh...)Keep up the good work!]

playing 8h-12h/day is 'out of manual' , no game should be/is projected to be played that long.....Lets go in middle and say 6h/day play tops...

Work in these game 6h/day and also pay at same time €10.000-€20.000 for at least 12 months , so you can start play it and enjoy it, and you will still get shot by dozens of top active players that you will encounter very often(leaving apart the talent of both sides)because you need more time/cash to catch up with your 'stuff'

As a returning player from 2012, here's my opinion on this topic.

Your question depends on what you like about the game. If, like me, you enjoy PvP, then yes it's still a great game with a lot of opportunities for fighting. If you mostly enjoy PvE, doing instances is pretty fun, yes, but they are limited to mostly 4/week which is beyond greedy on part of Gameforge.

In both cases, you will need to grind and hope for RNG to be able to at least compete with the top of the middle geared players. This will take you MONTHS of serious playtime. In PvP, you will be oneshotted a lot of times and you need to go through it a lot, if not most of the time, when there is the risk of encountering an enemy player.

Finding groups for instances is pretty easy if you search after 5-6PM and most people know what they are doing. Also there is a hidden etiquette to rolling for drops and passing on items that I see most people respect and it brings a lot of pleasure when you realize this.

The real gem of this game is IMO the players (and I am basing this on experience with other moba/competitive games communities). Sure there are a lot of "you-know-what-legion" players that will annoy you with their elitism because you don't play 12h/day and spend weekly 5000euro on the game but for every one of them, there are 10 other people who are happy to help you and explain to you ANY questions you have. Maybe I'm just lucky, but also in 2012, like now, there were a lot of phenomenal players who will go above and beyond to help you, when there is absolutely nothing in it for them.

I genuinely found the community to be the best that I have ever seen in an online semi-competitive/competitive videogame.

Now for the worst part.

The game is basically a gamgling game. All the mid-end game skills/items are based on RNG, with a monetization model that won't even let you pay to buy them directly (not that I endorse p2w btw, I despise it 100%). If you plan to throw money at these frustrations you will be surprised to know that money just gets you more chances to interact with the RNG, it does not influence your RNG chance whatsoever, even if you throw millions of euros at it.

Meaning that a free player can basically get these items/skills in a couple of weeks/months based on good luck, and you throwing millions of dollars at the game can still be so unlucky as to not get even half of what the free player got. I am exaggerating ofc, but you understand my point.

Does this sound fair to you? Ofc it's not, the system is designed exactly like casinos to make you frustrated so you throw money at it, and you become more frustrated because you invested money and now will invest even more money to try and eliminate the frustration. It's a highly studied, fool proof SCIENTIFIC method designed especially for maximum monetary gain. So keep in mind that this is Gameforge's main goal, not player engagement or satisfaction.
