What do you want to see in the FUTURE of AION? Leave your feedback!

  • Btw what they did in 6.0 to Sanctum ? :(

Even in normal area without event stuff my fps is about 60-70.

I remembered I had more fps in 5.x but when 6.0 hits fps dropped in every zone.

Skills revamp is good but I think we overly done it.

Problem now is not about skills,it's streamline leveling,no story,no skins when comparing to the past and 6.0 destroyed all trading by making all items untradable and money untradable that's the worst move it's not destroyed bot business it destroyed all man kind business. No need to mention transformation since we talked it everyday.

Sorry but when I talk about 6.0 there're only bad stuff that make me wish of classic.

People won't move on no matter how many patches we will have as long as it based on 6.0 principle,if you want people back you have to destroy concept of 6.0.

What I want to know is where's Aion 3.0 developers doing now and what project they working on I want to follow them :/

  • What I want to know is where's Aion 3.0 developers doing now and what project they working on I want to follow them :/

It's probably the 3.0 Aion Producer who has moved on.

While this thread has got a lot of input sadly there has been no feedback and it doesn't look like we will be going back.

While Korea does probably listen to Gameforge they are only re-using old maps and content so it's limited to what they can do.

Looks like we will get a couple of patches and then 7.5.

8.0 is what the Aion dev team is working on now, should be interesting what they will do.

  • 8.0 will fail as long as it based on 6.0 principle, they need to stop building stuff on 6.0 and start over.I saw a lot of games closing weekly I fearing Aion would be next I don't have a hope with Aion 2 even with purple emulator because Aion 2 still mobile base game which will be fully of p2w features.

I don't see a way out of this,as long as we supporting this game there will be more p2w and rng adding to the game but if we stop supporting they will just close Aion.Isn't there anything we could do ? but only accept more p2w or close ?

Or we should support p classic servers to show NC we wanted classic ? :/

I remembered back to 2012 before launching f2p there was a very big p server and everyone playing there I think it kinda force NC to launch f2p Aion.

  • Isn't there anything we could do ? but only accept more p2w or close ?

Only if they accept Aion needs some fundamental change apart from more P2W.

Then even if they do will they invest in the dev man power to do it?

Does not seem likely based on the way they are releasing unbalanced content now. Who knows?

  • You get less fps in sieges or in a town because they slowly modified the game. The new Aion development team is nothing like the original one. This one added more polygons and better textures, more effects, laggy UI and things that the original team would never do. Theoretically this game should still run fine on a PC from 2009, as the game engine is the same, but it's not possible anymore and we could see that from past updates, especially since 5.x. Sanctum was left unmodified until 6.0, when the new developers modified it. In 5.x it was abyss that was modified and things got laggy, and the same with 6.0. These new developers are used with new and performant new engines and not accustomed with the old ways of thinking and optimizing stuff. Old games were optimized for limited amount of memory, cpu power and disk space. New PC games are not doing that anymore and basically tell you to get the best hardware you can get.

I also agree that as long as future update is based on this new Aion since 6.0, they will just fail.

NC wasn't forced to go f2p because of the private servers. NC went f2p only with 6.0. It's the other publisher (NCWest) that was forced to do so. It was because it was nearly broke and couldn't afford to keep up the servers with their current model. It's true, NCWest was almost bankrupt at some point, forced to close games and let go of other regions. Since the start of Aion in 2009, things only got worse with patch 2.x. In the last months of p2p (2.x), towns in Aion were ghost towns and there was nobody to play with. The game turned terrible since 2.0 anyway but having nobody to play with also made more players quit. In between 2009 and 2012, more things have happened. In 2010 NCWest closed Dungeon Runners and Exteel. In 2011 NCWest closed Lineage, the first one. In 2011 they made Lineage II f2p, as they couldn't go on like that anymore. It was still one of their top game at the time and doing much better than Aion but it was still bad. The income was finally coming back after f2p, but it was also the end of the Lineage 2 classic we knew. In 2012 the had to let go of EU and make Aion f2p, in the hopes of saving it, otherwise it would have been another closed game. Good thing that the new 3.0 not only that it brought a lot more content (Tiamaranta, The Eye, Sarpan, lots of pve and pvp content) but more players and revenue because of the shop. In the same year 2012 NCWest closed City of Heroes. This could have happen to Aion as well.

NCWest has closed 8 games so far, in between 2007 and 2015 and I don't know how much will they keep going with Aion, as it's already a desert in NA. Lineage II is doing a better and classic a lot better, BnS is not doing bad and GW is GW and people are still playing it a lot. They also have Aion legions of wars in NA, a mobile game, but no idea how good they are doing with it since it's new.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

  • I also agree that as long as future update is based on this new Aion since 6.0, they will just fail.

Yes except 5.0 was a disaster with heavy grind and equipment failures so I think they had to change things in 6.0 except with only Lackrum endgame open map it was far too small.

While I understand those who feel they are taking Aion in the wrong P2w direction or being only event driven, it was kind of inevitable in my opinion.

It needs more work fixing the current content before rushing into more unproven stuff, re-introducing breaking gear is not something we wanted to see again, but they are always under pressure to provide upgrade paths for existing players.

8.0 is the next opportunity to really change things but if NCSoft will do it we can only wait and see.

In the meantime we have enough to play for but it is not always very rewarding.

  • 1.more easy transform to get not from events but like drop and change the transform feature...let us change or select wich to chose.

2.more red-purple stones drop in open world and instances.

    3.more stigma enchantment stones.

    4.delete cubic,xform,luna features from the game...and keep lugbug...sandshop.

    5.expanding inventory,warehouse must be free.

    6.delete the feather,bracelet,shards...and give us more beautiful...skins.

7.more beautiful mounts,minions...and keep only rank A minions, delete other minion ranks.

8.daevanion feature must be deleted as well...less skils...but stronger if need.

-this game is boring cause alot things are coming from events instead of open world-instances drop.

-we need more instances.....patches to come faster in like 3 months...

-stop reciclate old things again and again...be intuitive, take opinions from community...if devs are no ideea....ecc

-hope the dam thing with locked rank gear having 6 slot stones dont come back ever again...3 slots are enough...and also cancel the armfusion, armsbreaking feature...alot things must be deleted, are useless.

-aion became like a christmas tree, complicated and more complicated, alot useless features keeping space for nothing in those 32+Gb...come on...we ca keep this beautiful game alive alot more years from now....but only togheter.peace and may God gives good ideeas and thoughts to the aion team.and remember....this game was best and beautiful mmorpg ever created...let's keep it for us...all!cheers!

  • Uhm... some map underwater (maybe a redesign of Signea)

  • I think the daevanion skills on most classes need to be worked entirely, most of them are just a weaker version instead of an alternative..

On Aethertech, the Idium daeva skills are different, so 1 is nearby and resets CD's, the other is Ranged 25m's and Aoe, and I actually change daeva skills depending on pve or pvp but some never even get used.

Also When we had the elemental buffs, I was hoping this game was taking a direction where that if you followed 1 path, (classes specialising in a different element) you were protected against one and vulnerable to others, even weapons had wind/water/fire etc... now game just relies on enchantments and stats, and if you don't have them you suck.

  • As one of the Beta players i can say that since patch 3.0 aion destroyed itself.
I still have contact to so many classic aion pvp/pve players.

WE NEED BACK AION 2.7 or 3.0
    This was the BEST TIME!!

  • That was the Aion VISION trailer. It is how the developers of the time envisioned the future of Aion.

Alas, the overwhelming greed of man ruined that vision. Perhaps not the developer's fault, but the investor's insatiable thirst for money.

During the Meet and Greet in Cologne the korean developer said they still have the idea of underwater content in mind but have no concept to make it fun and feel different to flight content/combat. Also all animations of skills etc. have to be created which is a huge task. I don't think this will ever happen to be honest, but I also gave up for a second artist class... maye in the future we will see stuff like that, who knows.
