Event: Faction Change

    Light and shadow cannot exist without the other – and that also applies to the factions of Atreia! For the first time ever in AION Classic, the faction change will become available. This gives you the opportunity to change your character from an Elyos to an Asmodian, and experience the magic of darkness and shadow!

    • Running: 18th March (9 AM) to 8th April (9 AM CEST)
    • Requires: [Event] Faction Change Ticket

    Faction Change Ticket Details

    The Faction Change Ticket is available a maximum of 3x per account (1x free, 2x paid).


    Free Faction Change

    • Available 1x per account
    • Period: 18th March (9 AM) to 8th April (8:59 AM)
    • The item can only be collected during the stated period.
    • Requires an Elyos character of level 60+ on your account.
    • The item will be removed from the game during the server maintenance at 9 AM on 8th April 2026.
    • The item is not tradeable and cannot be sold.
    • Once collected by a character, the item cannot be transferred to another.

    Paid Faction Change

    • Available 2x per account
    • Period: 18th March (9 AM) to 8th April (8:59 AM)
    • The ticket can be purchased by Elyos characters for 2,000 Quna in the AION Classic shop during the stated period.
    • The ticket will also be removed from the game during the server maintenance at 9 AM on 8th April 2026.

    Faction Change Instructions

    Your character must meet the following requirements in order to pass from the light of the Elyos into the shadows of the Asmodians:

    • Faction: Elyos
    • Level: 60+
    • Location: Sanctum
    • Item: 1x [Event] Faction Change Ticket
    • Legion: The character cannot be a legion member or have any open join requests
    • Group/Alliance: The character cannot be in a group or alliance
    • Group Search: There cannot be any group searches in progress
    • Matching Status: There cannot be any active battlefield or arena registration
    • Stigma Slots: No stigmas can be socketed
    • Auction House: No items can be on offer or awaiting collection
    • Mailbox: The mailbox must be empty

    Step 1: Open AION Look

    Open AION Look with the character you want to change from Elyos to Asmodian and who meets all the requirements, then click the Change Faction button at the top.

    Step 2: Check the Details

    In the Change Faction window you’ll see all the important details at a glance. These include details relating to items, skills, rank, quests and more. Please read this information carefully before confirming.

    Step 3: Confirm Change

    Once you have agreed to all the details, click on the [Event] Faction Change Ticket button to complete the change.


    Important: Once you have completed the change and your character has joined the Asmodian faction, this step cannot be reversed or restored.
