    Backstory

Staring into Siel’s relic, Tiamat saw her upcoming fall. Determined to buy time, she unleashed a vast army on Tiamaranta and drove the Reians away. She subsequently set up Watching Eyes across the realm to spy on any possible Daevan incursions. Through experiments with Blood Drana, she also levitated chunks of earth into the skies, forming the floating islands of Tiamaranta Mesa to serve as her defences. It is a chilling turn for the Daevas, as Tiamat’s strength seems endless, and their time is running out. They must use everything at their disposal and strike hard, but can they stop Tiamat before it is too late?

Tiamaranta Mesa turns verticality into a daily contest for level 60+ players, mixing thrilling activities on the ground with floating islands in the sky that can be repositioned to open or close routes.

Tiamaranta Mesa Ground is split into three parts: In the West lies the Elysian base, the East is occupied by the Asmodians, while the central area is disputed territory, mainly occupied by Tiamat’s army.

Tiamaranta Mesa Ground: Exploring the Terrain

Tiamaranta Mesa Ground yields a vast number of activities and challenges for the Daevas on their quest to stop Tiamat’s advances, from stopping her Watching Eyes from surveilling the area, to fighting against her incarnations, and trading with the Black Cloud Merchants.

The Eyes That Change the Fight

Watching Eyes are located around the central area of Tiamaranta Mesa Ground and are classified into three different sizes: lesser, medium and greater. When a Watching Eye can be captured, the area turns into an active combat zone and requires a solid strategy in order to claim it for your faction. Plan respawns and Kisk placements around those capture windows so your group arrives fresh when the push begins. Holding a Greater Watching Eye at the right moment forces the other side to fight on your terms.

Planning ahead is crucial, as occupying an Eye yields various advantages, such as quests, the option to set up Kisks in the area, and the ability to use teleporters to travel to other Watching Eyes occupied by your faction.

    Challenging the Strongest Opponents

From time to time, strong monsters will appear around Tiamaranta Mesa. They require the strength of all the Daevas in order to put them in their place.

Among the strongest of them are Governor Sunayaka, who guards the Balic Treasury, and Hexad, a gigantic machine divided into a torso as well as left and right arms. Once his arms have been defeated, the area around his body will turn into a combat zone, making the fight even trickier for the Daevas. But these are not Tiamat’s only defences, as she also summons mighty incarnations of herself at the four Hearts of Tiamaranta. As they are exceedingly dangerous, however, a warrant is needed to join the battle.

The appearance of dimensional rifts – gates for more Balaur to infiltrate Tiamaranta – bear another risk to the Daevas in this land.

Tiamaranta Mesa Skies: Where Altitude Becomes a Weapon

Ancient ground devices can shift selected island sections in the skies of Tiamaranta Mesa, so a path that was safe two minutes ago may now be a trap. Daevas who reach the high ground early on are able to control lines of sight and force awkward approaches. Flight is permitted in Tiamaranta Mesa Skies, which creates the opportunity for quick strikes and risky retreats. If you prefer methodical pushes, watch for teleporters and windows of opportunity that allow you to suddenly appear in the enemy’s flank.

Tips to Success in Tiamaranta Mesa

    • Taking command of the Watching Eyes in the central area is key to wielding control over the area and unlocking its resources.
    • Tiamat’s incarnations vary in strength, so it is best to join the fight against the one that matches your skill and equipment: the weakest is Gravity Incarnate, while the strongest is Fissure Incarnate.
    • Different ‘Fruit’ can be found on the ground level of Tiamaranta. Defeating them will yield a buff item that helps with the fight against the enemy faction.
    • As the movements of the islands in the sky change existing paths, make sure to check for new routes.
    • Flying around the skies is dangerous, as gliding into mutated aether could result in a forced crash landing or poisoning.
