Update 2.4 introduces two challenging new instances which will test you and your companions to the very limits of your abilities! Read on to learn all about what awaits you in the Liberated Beshmundir Temple and Abyssal Splinter.
The Dragon’s Wrath: Liberated Beshmundir Temple
Join up to 5 other players and travel to an alternative dimension to face an even more deadly version of Stormwing in the hopes of acquiring some exclusive heroic gear!
You can enter this instance once per week after reaching level 55. It resets every Wednesday at 9 AM.
Backstory
Tiamat’s experiments with Siel’s Relic have left their mark on Silentera Canyon. The flow of time has become erratic, and even the very fabric of reality is unstable. An Abyss rift recently opened in a secret location in the north of Silentera Canyon, which leads to a version of the Beshmundir Temple from an entirely different dimension. In this version of reality, Stormwing has broken free of the Prison of Ice and is gaining in power! Exceptionally brave Elyos and Asmodians can enter this baleful place with the power of the Artefact and take down the mighty Stormwing in a decisive battle.
Where Is the Liberated Beshmundir Temple?
The Liberated Beshmundir Temple can be entered through an Abyss rift in the north of Silentera Canyon. Elyos will find the entrance at the Silentera Westgate, while Asmodians need to go to the Silentera East Gate. In order to enter you require a Dimensional Fragment which can be acquired via a weekly quest. The quest requires that you defeat Stormwing in Beshmundir Temple (hard). Elyos can get the quest from Lania at the Silentera Westgate, while Asmodians must pay a visit to Vergelan at the Silentera East Gate.
The Instance
Upon sliding through the Abyss rift, you’ll find yourself in the huge Ritual Chamber. There are no enemies waiting for you here; the silence is ominous, the chamber virtually empty. But at its furthest extent you will discover a lifeless figure: the corpse of Isbariya the Resolute. An silent warning of what lies ahead. Not far from Stormwing’s fallen guard, you’ll also find the entrance to the Prison of Ice. Summon up your courage and you’ll once again find yourself in the depths of the frigid jail, face to face with its sole dread prisoner: Ciclonica Stormwing.
Boss and Loot
Restored to the full extent of his power, Ciclonica Stormwing is incredibly dangerous. He can output massive damage from distance with his deadly wind attacks, conjuring up storms and sinking the physical and elemental defences of his challengers. The powerful squalls can blast back you and your party, while his tornadoes and whirlwinds root you to the spot, inflicting bleeding and even exploding! Ciclonica Stormwing can even regenerate his health, while his Voltaic Storm will enhance all of his attacks and defences.
Valiant adventurers who manage to withstand all that and bring Ciclonica Stormwing to his knees can expect to share in some equally impressive loot: Liberated Stormwing’s weapons and shield are of heroic rarity and are only available here! You can also pick up Pacification and Elder weapons of fabled rarity, as well as prize Balic crafting materials. As the instance presents such an immense challenge, you have a greater chance of getting more valuable gear.
Tips and Tricks
Ciclonica Stormwing is an opponent who should not be underestimated, and it would behove you and your team to be equipped with the best possible PvE gear from Beshmundir Temple.
It is imperative that your party watches the boss at all times and tries to decipher his attack patterns so you can all react appropriately according to your roles.
Beyond Space and Time: The Abyssal Splinter
Join up to 11 other players and carve your path through the huge aether crystal in the depths of the Abyss to face four menacing bosses for a chance to earn some exclusive heroic gear!
You can enter this instance once per week after reaching level 55. It resets every Wednesday at 9 AM.
Backstory
When the Tower of Eternity was destroyed during the Cataclysm, the huge amounts of Aether which were released ripped through the fabric of space and time to form the Abyss. After the Balaur captured the Divine Fortress as part of their plan for infiltrating Elysea and Asmodae, they set up a magic ritual circle to accelerate this distortion of reality. This created an unstable path to another dimension, leading to a parallel version of the Abyss almost entirely enveloped by a colossal aether crystal. A protective artefact sits at the crest of this giant crystal. It appears that this protective artefact has created an invisible space in order to protect itself. The creatures inside the crystal – the Abyssal Splinter – were distorted by the energy of the artefact and mutated into terrifying sentinels with an all-consuming mission: to defend the artefact.
Where Is the Abyssal Splinter?
You can only enter the Abyssal Splinter when your faction has captured the Divine Fortress in the Eye of Reshanta in the Abyss Core. The entrance to the Abyssal Splinter can be found in the artefact room in the Divine Fortress.
The Instance
After entering the Abyssal Splinter, you’ll find yourself surrounded by gigantic crystals, with the first enemies already waiting for you on the Splinterpath. Make your way past them to reach Pazuzu’s Sanctuary. Face off against this powerful guardian of the artefact, break her shield and defeat her to continue your quest along the winding road ahead.
You’ll find numerous Lapilimos lurking here, only too anxious to pick off a few weakened Daevas. But the true menace lies at the end of the path, where Kaluva is busily weaving her webs. Don’t get caught up in her webs, slaughter her brood before they get the upper hand, and show this spider monstrosity who’s the real master in these crystal caves! Don’t forget to take the Abyssal Fragment after defeating Kaluva, as you’ll need this to continue pressing forth in the Abyssal Splinter.
Follow Chaos Way, defeating all comers, until you reach the Crystal Mezzanine which you can open with the Abyssal Fragment. Behind this, you and your party will discover an expansive cave. That icy feeling down your back isn’t just the cold wind whipping through the tunnels, but is combined with the sight of the next challenge awaiting you in the centre of the cavern: Dayshade.
Dayshade splits into two halves, Rukril and Ebonsoul, giving your group twice the usual headache. Heroes wanting to bring this powerful artefact guardian to task will need to be well coordinated to stand a chance. Only after defeating both halves in quick succession will you be able to loot his treasures!
Via a series of floating platforms, you can descend into the depths of the Abyssal Splinter. There you’ll find the beating heart of this huge aether crystal: the Splintercore. The Artefact of Protection – the root of all this evil – lies here encased in a layer of protective crystal. If you dare touch this seemingly innocuous artefact, it will summon its final and most powerful guardian – Yamennes!
Yamennes will appear in one of two forms, depending on whether you and your party destroyed the Huge Aether Fragments of the other bosses. Defeat Yamennes and you will have become masters of the Abyssal Splinter!
Bosses
In reward for your courage, you may be able to garner Forgotten Abyss gear from each of the bosses. You can also look forward to Balaur Relics, Platinum Medals, Azure Gold Medal Chests of the Abyss and more.
Brave Daevas who take on Yamennes in his more powerful form also have a chance of looting his exclusive weapon set!
Pazuzu
Pazuzu takes down her enemies by gradually robbing them of their life energy and protecting herself with a shield which reflects the damage you deal to her. You first need to find a way to break through her protective barrier before you can take her down.
Kaluva
This gigantic spider can slow, stun and immobilise her prey! If she manages to trap one of you in a cocoon, you’ll need to act fast to make sure you don’t all succumb to the same fate. Kaluva will also summon her brood to help her. The baby spiders are nowhere near as dangerous as their mother, but what they lack in strength, they make up for in numbers.
Dayshade
Your team needs good coordination in the battle against Dayshade, as you must defeat both Rukril and Ebonsoul in quick succession before you can gorge on the juicy loot! Both halves of this guardian shield themselves and summon fragments of their opposite number. As with Pazuzu, you need to find a way to take down their shields!
Yamennes
Yamennes is the final challenge in the Abyssal Splinter. You will face him in one of two different forms, depending on whether you destroyed the Huge Aether Fragments of the other bosses. If you left them intact, you’ll meet Yamennes Blindsight for a slightly easier confrontation, while destroying them will see you taking on the more dangerous foe in the form of Yamennes Painflare. Yamennes can stun his enemies and drain their mana, while also summoning minions to help him. In his more powerful form, he can also block the effects of healing spells!
Tips and Tricks
Pazuzu’s barrier may make her seem invulnerable, but it appears that she is somehow channelling the energy of the Luminous Waterworms to maintain it...
Kaluva will immobilise your party members by trapping them in cocoons. It’s important that you free anyone who is imprisoned as quickly as possible before too many of you are out of action! Similarly, make sure you deal with Kaluva’s brood as soon as you can once they spawn, otherwise they will overwhelm you through sheer weight of numbers.
Dayshade’s two halves, Rukril and Ebonsoul, have different weaknesses. Make sure you divide your party accordingly so as to maximise the damage you’re dealing! The pair are the very epitome of good teamwork, as each of the guardians will protect their opposite number rather than themselves. Pay attention to the fragments they summon and which ones you need to destroy to break through the right protective shield.
Yamennes has a weaker and a stronger form. You need to destroy the Huge Aether Fragments of the other bosses if you want to try your fist at the more powerful version, Yamennes Painflare. It’s worth the risk though, as only those who defeat Yamennes at the height of his powers have a chance of looting his exclusive heroic weapons!
