Untradeable Siege Rewards

    After today's Asteria/Roah raid, it seems settled that the new siege rewards in AION classic EU 2.0 will not be tradeable. If I am not mistaken, the same medals are tradeable in Aion classic NA 2.0, via reward chests, which would mean that GF explicitly asked for these changes in EU. And to be honest, for the life of me, I cannot understand why anybody would do that. The lvl 55 elite armor set costs about 500-ish medals. Even a player who goes to every single raid and gets the best reward every single time would need to farm months to complete this, without the ability to buy additional medals from the broker. Simultaneously, unwanted and unused medals will pile up in the inventory of players that do not want to pursue the lvl 55 set, without any use at all, effectively removing the reason to join raids in the first place for those players. Why put a new set into the game, then change the medal system in a way that makes it unattainable for like 95% of the playerbase? I really hope we get the same tradeable siege rewards as NA classic, or in the very least some feedback on why those changes were implemented and how we are supposed to get the lvl 55 gear.     I had no opinion on this yet but then i read this sentence and I like it the way it is. 55lvl ELITE means only elite (most hardcore) playerbase should have it. 5% is fine.


    And months of grind is good too.


    On the other hand if gameforge plans to release new update 3.0 or whatever it will be as fast as they implemented 2.0 then it makes no sense to grind it, true. It all depends how much they want to push new content.

    You can scratch the "Elite" part if you want. Even the regular version of the pvp gear costs 251 medals. I am usually unable to attend raids due to real life. This effectively means that I will not be able to get that gear, not even in a couple of months. I could chalk that up to tough luck, if the tradeable medal system wasn't a thing. But it is, on one hand for gold and silver medals, on the other hand even for the new medals - in NA. I'd just like to understand why that change was made.

    If i am not mistaken, morph method to put sapphire (azure gold) medals into boxes came to NA with a later update. So how about you just be patient ;)
