    Greetings, Daevas!

    It has been an action-packed week and so we would like to take a moment to update you all once again on the recent events surrounding our beloved game.

    As you all know, we are still facing an immense challenge in the form of relentless DDoS attacks targeting our servers, creating lags, disconnections, and even at times making it impossible to login for brief periods of time. Our team continues to combat this with increasing capacity; however, we really want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your incredible patience and unwavering support during this trying time.

    We are reading your comments every day and replying as fast as we can to the constant flow of support tickets. This situation is created by forces outside of Gameforge, mainly, criminal entities with malicious intentions. Although we are also as upset as you are right now, we will not let this frustrate our efforts to mitigate the impact it has on our community. We know how much this game means to you, and we want to assure you that we are doing everything in our power night and day to safeguard the game’s integrity.

    Many of you have asked for additional information on what we are facing, so we will take a moment to explain. We are currently fighting off recurring waves of DDoS attacks. This is not a simple task, no matter the size of the company being targeted. We have protections in place, a dedicated security team and we are continuing to work closely with external partners and service providers. However, this attack is the biggest one we have been confronted with. Usually, only big companies have suffered attacks of this scale (such as GitHub, Cloudflare, even to some degree Amazon or Google). In conclusion, there are some people out there who really don’t want you to enjoy your version of AION.

    It’s a constant “cat-and-mouse-game” between the attackers and our teams. Nevertheless, we will continue all possible measures and tireless efforts to bring most of our operations back to normal, allowing you to fly back into the immersive world you love.

    Regarding compensations: those that were provided this week are meant to cover issues from last weekend. Of course, we will provide additional ones once the situation is more stable. Also, know that all events currently running will also be available again in the future so no one misses out.

    Finally, we wanted to mention that we are also collecting your feedback regarding the roadmap which was designed based on learnings from other regions and your current progression in this version. We will continue to keep an eye on your comments and the evolution of the characters on the servers so that we can adjust accordingly if necessary.

    Once again, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to our incredible community for standing strong with us. Your support and dedication are what keeps us going, and we're grateful to have such an amazing group of players.
