They're still listening to the vocal crybaby minority and didn't make a poll ingame asking the actual playerbase...
They're never gonna learn.
Probably bots, not a playerbase

they killed classic like 99999999th time and its still alive.

I was talking about one specific server only.
Do you play on Atreia btw?
This supposed to be classic. Therefore, we need to enjoy sometimes with classic. If you want contents go play retails. Later dude, bye...
this is not Classic, this is a nerfed 1.x custom patch with mental changes that is even more grindy than the original game was in 2009.

No and i was talking about server Tahabata problem. For the last two months whenever i join arena of chaos or dredgion, its 99,9% against Atreia players. Thats why i assume u are way more populated.
And that one server is poorly populated than other DOES NOT mean that its killed. I was reffering on "gameforge killed this game". Its not killed lol.
One server is less populated thats all.
stop pulling things out of context
> Complain that an MMMORPG is not able to even fill 2 servers
Problem is, that the people who are happy about 2.0 do this for pore egoistic reasons, because THEY already did all in current patch and THEY are bored.....
What these people don´t understand: with part people who will hurry leveling on lvl 55 and part people who dom´t care about 2.0 and want to stay lvl 50 for a while longer and part people who freshly start the game, the not very overpopulated 2 servers will get split up in people with different levels and therefore different things they can do at your level.... may be ok on Atreia, but will be horrible at Tahabata.....
I dont complain that gameforge is not even able to fill two servers, what are you talking about? can you quote where do I complain? I was stating the facts.
You are so bad at arguing.
Yes and keep editing one post 3 times

So you play on less populated server (to the point you urge for server merge) but you're first to defend the game from being dead, despite the players from "more" populated server say that the decrease in players is significant. A bit weird logic but it's okay.

As the counter to that, not releasing 55 will cause more players to quit the game due to having nothing to do (and it's not like all of them will return once the new patch land) and releasing future patches will likely bring new players who didn't wanted 1.x (there was quite few players like this) or who are somewhat curious about the new content
releasing future patches will likely bring new players
Thats wishful thinking based on what exactly?
Fact is: we have AIOn now for 12 years with actual patch 8.X and after good first years AION lost more and more players, not only at the last pazch, but over several patches before. Some say 4.X was crap, others say 5.X was crap and so on.
Then they were releasing Classic and already lost players returned to have the old times feeling. They wanted even older times than they got and get the next patch within few months. Thats the playerbase of AIOn that quitted at a certain patch between 3.X and 8.X. Why the hell do you think that further patches will bring more players instead of less when history already showed the first time how things come?
releasing future patches will likely bring new players
Thats wishful thinking based on what exactly?
2.0 will likely bring new players because there were ppl who were voting for 2.x to be the initial patch (pre release of the classic - out of which some were quite clear that they're not interested in 1.x). Also there's plenty of ppl already done with the current patch content as there's not really that much to do, so it's logical to assume that atleast some of them would return with newer patches.
Also I think you assume that me saying that 2.0 will bring NEW players is same as saying that 2.0 will increase the overall online.
No, the game will keep losing players over time just like any other mmorpg we have out there, and it doesn't matter if we stay with 1.x or go with what NCSoft prepared in that term.

It´s not nearly the same situation as for all other mmorpgs out there. AIONs first turn was the same situation as for all other mmorpgs but AION classic is the second (and last) chance for AION and GAmeforge (and the natural outcome) screwed so many things:
- the enourmos bot problem they don´t handle
- the kinah income problem that is calculated by Gameforge
- the AP gain problem
- Tahabata as a second really underpopulated server
- the technical problems
- and the natural run of things that lots of people are disappointed because they check, that AION classic isn´t the old AION they new (not to blame Gameforge here).
This and more is why AION classic already lost plenty of players and why should already disappointed players invest more time and money in a new patch 2.0? Sure, you satisfy those who wanted 2.0 from start but you dissappoint those, who wanted and want 1.9 or less, so its a zero sum game for player numbers with a slight variation up or down.

mostly agree with u with one expection of bots. I think gameforge handled bots very well. They reduced world drops and kept droprate in instances which is one of the best protections against bots (unpopular opinion).
They set kinah limit nearly impossible to reach by a normal player (with real life) but against a good protection against bots.
All this makes it "too hard" for botters and they rather choose other games to bot in.
Check this video:
if u compare it to world of warcraft, aion is almost bot-less !!!
If you want to play MMORPG without bots, on an official server, then dont play mmorpg because they are totally everywhere and gameforge handles this war perfectly.

I sincerely hope that you‘re being sarcastic here?
EDIT: To make my point clear: We have a massive bot problem due to the nerfed drop rates. Bots are now running around in groups, doing repeatable kinah quests or even dungeons while using teleport hacks. They don‘t need Item-Drops. Still, the Players do. So what do some people do in order to advance in the game? They purchase Kinah.
Would even go as far as to state that Aion has an even larger problem than LA. I would argue that LA has far more active players than bots. Aion? Not so sure about that.

Exactly this. I am leveling a second char in Elten and Heiron and while doing quests you meet 10 times more bot groups doing quests than real players.
Still fascinated how bot users can run groups of 6-7 accounts at the same time while normal people aren´t even allowed to have a second account running.......... well done Gameforge, like bizoon said above, you are truly handling bots very well........... NOT

One really good PC with newest cpu can run up to about 10 bots on virtual machines. That PC costs lot of money and if you do botting for living you cant work/use that PC for anything else.
So then there is a kinah sell limit which is very hard to bypass as you need to be lvl50 to unlock current max limit.
Means if you run 10 bots and u make about 2M kinah on each char its 20M kinah daily. About 20 euro. And you need to pay bills to run that pc.
Its not attractive for botters and its overrated. All this botting problem is overrated and overhyped.
Kinah sellers in aion make nowhere near the same money as they do in other games. Not talking about liquidity, because sell kinah in aion is much harder.
Just instead of blaming gameforge go show me other mmorpg with LESS AMOUNT OF BOTS compared to playerbase. I am very interested. And name atleast few of them.
Aion deals with bots perfectly.
go show me other mmorpg with LESS AMOUNT OF BOTS
This here is about AION and Gameforge only and just talking about myself, I don´t give a s..t how other games I don´t play deal with bots or not. And just because other companies do it worse doesn´t mean automatically Gameforge does it good.....

Gameforge does it better than any other company = they do it actually good.
or pelase define what does "good" mean.
edit: After a little bit of thinking its looks very similar to real world where unsuccessful people start blaming government for they bad lives. Very simillar here, some players might be just very bad and so they blame it on gameforge or botters. Is it you?
In fact. Botting is not destroying this game at all. I dont notice much of inflation on my server.
Disappointed they have put back 2.0, I find 1.9 utterly boring having played 2.x on NA servers for well over a year. I let my Siel's Enegy expire and I am not going to renew it until 2.0 comes out.
2.0 lifts the gear benchmark, 50e is really the only 1.9 gear which is worth carrying over, the sapphire medal gear in 2.0 is the thing to save up AP for.
Oh man…. Face = Table (when I saw your response).
GF does it better than other companies? Then please tell me, why exactly are there so many threads in here with people complaining about Kinah-Issues and Botting-Problems? Why are there people complaining in LFG about bots?
Why are there so many bots running around on Atreia? Why are there Kinah-Sellers shouting in LFG all the time? Why are there videos on YT depicting the botting problem?
Because GF has control over the game?
Though I don‘t see how this topic belongs in here, so it would be better to continue this conversation in another thread.
