Asking question: Whats the point of working hard and farming this gear???
It's not worthless, once in 2.0 the only thing better than DP is gonna be Besh Temple, and having decent gear for that will help a lot. We are on 2.7 in NA and I still use a Taha orb+triro merge as my main pve sorc weapon, and the Taha tome is still the best for a MA set.
It is worthless , u can get lv 55 Gear with medals of arena , This gear is bether then DP
So everything is useless right now , Just go For Arena and Dred and ur done playing for the day.

Exactly. Also argument about Taha tome being still OP in 2.7 is invalid as it does not apply to other class weapons. So its only matter of sorcs/SMs.
What is the point for chanter to farm Taha staff?
What is the point for gladi to farm Bakarma pole?
What is the point for cleric to farm Taha shield and warhammer?
What is the point for ranger to farm Taha bow?
And so on.....
Literally not even quaranteed it will drop before release of 2.0, even if you run it everyday.
Everything at this point, is just waste of kinah and AP. We entered phase of 2 bored months logging just for sieges, arena and dred, playing with already-farmed gear (steel rake or whatever).
And one last reaction after I give up:
Someone saying we will rush to catch up with aion KR.
Ok and why? How long did aion KR classic stay on 1.0 - 1,9 ? And how long did players on aion classic NA enjoy 1.0-1.9 ? Only we are getting this reaaaaaaly poor classic experience with few months.

Yeah having "decent gear" not best endgame gear, so thanks to admit farming endgame dungeon like DP S rank is useless and a waste of money and time because even if you get the actual best weap/armor you will need to change it soon for the new one

First of all i want to say that the first version that GF wanted to start was 2.4 and that was said i dont know why people started to cry about fast patching.
Second one bro you are so undedicated person about weapons that i loughed soooo loud even my dog started to bark. esp of bakarma , staff, and cler gear.
Why people who ended all content should wait slowpokes that dont want to play like 2-3 hours a day? you forgot what is MMO? how much you invest time such an income you will have.. thats the golden rule of MMOs.
personally i dont want to sit on place and enter for sell runs in game i want more content i know many other people that waits 2.0-2.5.and jesus christ go on myaion look how many times DP S was killed check how many clerics made it then amount of clerics cleared it on S X on 5 and + the amount of clerics you had. and you will be surprised. After that ask yourself are you a slowpoke or problem in people who clearing S rank and having 0 other content because PvP on this patch is a mess and disaster.

If you want to add something new and cool just add new dungeons but downgrade everything to level 50.

you are playing not classic bro you are playing a new version of aion. that has a insane amount changes and evolution progress.there are no bards gunners , there is new executor class.class balance changed.locations will change.dungeons dif level raised

+74 Accuracy
+16 Attack
+192 HP
+194 Parry
+26 Mag. acc
6x LVL70 manastones VS 5x LVL60 manastones
but consider also the fact that farming Taha at this point wastes your kinah and resources you will need on lvl55 for Stormwing. Which u will, anyway, gonna farm (you will if not primarly for stormwing weapon, then for the set)
So its just no sense to farm DP s now. Waste of kinah.
Ever since they released Executor in Korea, the aion sales are going up and up and there's no reason for it not to be a global trend.
As such the far-from-og development of aion is set in stone - it will just happen, gameforge can at most postpone the inevitable (but why would they?)
Sure, old aion is nice nostalgia strike, but it won't last forver, both NCSoft and Gameforge were very clear about it since the beginning.
Also, an obvious fact but some ppl seems unaware of it:
Players who are there just for 1.x/the real classic are just a "deadweight" and they will quit the game anyway, it's just a question of when (as NCSoft won't be supporting old patches forever).
So i'd say it's more logical to make the game appealing for ppl who are planning to tag along with how the development of aion classic went rather than with ppl who play just for the "true classic experience"

"golden rule" is what majority of players want. Because majority of players is what generates most of the profit. So 10% of nolifers is not such lose, than 90% casuals.

I dont think its the actual problem, people dont ask to stay in 1.9 forever they just wanted to enjoy this update before go to the next one and its seems its a majority of people thinking that, 3 months is too short period of time (specially when the game is broken), there is no reason to not let people enjoying this longer if they wanted except going the fastest possible to a P2W update with shugo dungeon with reset scrolls at shop or 100% success mythical sup or whatever features who ruined the game

That free arena set is terrible, even SR has more HP.

We knew that sooner or later it would happen, it's true.
However, every 3 months to have new content, I see it as a rush. 6 months for the patch, I would see it as more "stable", especially for people who can't play every day to update equipment. Especially for workers.
This is different for kids who can play 24/7.
People came here for Classic (means pre lvl 55 which was an extension of the original content). I stopped back then when it was released originally, it will happen again, no thnx. At least played 3 month for nostalgia with laggy & unstable servers.
I don't mind upgrading to version 2.0. But! I think that the update is planned too early, let's play, adjust everything, carefully prepare for the update. I am categorically against the flight update 2.0 and most likely I will be forced to leave the project because of this.
whether classic is level 50 or 55 is everyones guess. however, in my experience the players constantly demanding new content are the ones that can never be satisfied. for all i care we can have this patch level 50 until the end of the year and jump straight to 2.5 in january. no need for all those small patches.
