It's sometimes hard to enter the game

    Hi everyone,


    I will try to do my best to explain the problems i'm experiencing since the opening of the AION Classic servers, because it seems to get worse by days and start to be concerning.


    i have difficulties to connect to the game. Sometimes it's just a little bit annoying, but sometimes it's really hard.


    Firstly, half the time, when i click on the "Play" button and when the image of the Elysean girl appear, it closed itself.


    Sometimes, i need to launch the game 8 or 10 times to get to the first loading screen.


    After that, when the first loading screen appear, sometimes it doesn't go any further, and if i look at the task manager it says that the process is no longer responding. Then, i need to end the process and try to relaunch.


    Lastly, if i succeed to access to my character list, time to time, it's impossible to connect them to the game. I put my pin code, but the "OK" button is unclickable. The only solution is to close the client and relaunch it.


    I know i'm not the only one having this kind of problems. Is there any solution ?

    I forgot to specify it in my post, but i'm using a brand new ASUS ROG STRIX SCAR 17 G733ZW-KH116W with a Intel Core i9-12900H processor, 32 GB DDR5 of RAM, a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics chip with 8 GB dedicated GDDR6 memory and a 1 TB M.2 4.0 PCIe SSD. My drivers and Windows 11 are up to date.

    another server but same problems. (i play on retail) I tried to change every thing on my setup.. from w11 to w10... changing ssd deactivated ipv6(that seems to be one of the problems) ... now i changed the settings in gameforge files now all the programms start in admin mode. In my mind it helped a little bit but not at all... sometimes i get this problems again. Support told me to delete 2 Folders " l10n and data "than start repair in gameforge launcher i tried this on my backup pc and it doenst fix it :c

    i can log in from my laptop without any problem and it's not an expensive laptop, but i can't log in on my computer for some reason, i get dc or 81% on the loading screen freezes

    Have you sent to the technical support team your DxDiag file and log file from the AIONLOG folder for further investigation ?

    Have you contacted the technical support ? What did they say ?

    In the old client people did compatibility with windows 8. Has anyone found a way to do it in the new gameforge client?

    Three weeks have passed and i still don't have a solution to my problem. The technical team is supposed to analyze my DxDiag file and log file, but i don't know where they are in their investigation.

    For the game not loading or being stuck at 81%

    It helped to give Aion and the launcher a higher priority. I set both to high instead of normal.


    Region problems

    It helped to log out of the launcher and close it. After open the launcher and log in again.


    PIN offset due to resolution

    Remove the file system.cfg in the installation folder. It gets recreated on starting the game.


    Cannot conncet to server while other players are online

    Changing your IP helps. Depending on your provider/router you can also try a VPN (france usually works) or make a Hotspot via Smartphone.


    Having the login screen ingame

    If you have the login screen in the game, like it used to be years ago. It usually works to change the language in the launcher, start the game and after change the language back.


    Might no help others, but it worked for me.

    You are playing a 2009 game on a 2023 PC - it probably just thinks "What the heck is this thing" and is too scared to start ;)

    I'm also curious how it was set? Because after each start aion has a normal priority again ;/

    In my case it does nothing i have freez at 81%

    I have same problems as OP and sadly solution from Angel didnt help me :(


    Before EU launch i played a bit at NA and i didnt have any problems, no frezzes, no DC's, no connection problems etc.

    funny situation for me

    If I run aion directly after starting windows, aion will start normally

    but if I wait at least 1 minute after starting windows, aion will stop at 81%
