"It will be worth farming monsters"

  • you do realize this isnt pure randomness, there is a set percentage to get the item, if out of a sample size large enough you get certain things, and then later the same size sample you get significantly less (notice the significantly is bolded for a reason) AND if this can be verified by multiple participants in the survey THEN you can make assumptions (notice that the assumptions are bolded also) about the whole drop rate. thats how statistics work.

If however you're merely reporting your own observation here, you're more than generous and very welcome to do so, you're helping science and good for you!

That is true. However as you yourself said most of the people complaining have farmed very little - 40mins to 1h and they drop nothing -> bad drops -> no point farming -> trash game -> quit. When you get 300k/h on average (which was said/linked by many people in this thread) however that avg is from like 3-5 items for that one hour - its easy to see how rng may decide to nyerk with you so you get 0 kinah per hour sometimes... Back in the past the avg kinah per hour were from like 15-20 items in that hour (we were stopping the farm session when we run out of inventory space!) so whether you drop 10 items or 20 items the avg would still never be 0. In our version the drop rates are SO bad that you are getting 0-5 items per hour - which is horrible. Sometimes you'll get 500k per hour if you drop several items, sometimes you'll get 0 and feel like shit. The system in the original AION was MUCH better and more balanced than this current travesty because you were ALWAYS getting something for your time. Sometimes less sometimes more. But always something. And you never felt like your time is being stolen by the game.

This economy change also does NOT help against bots at all. You can see HORDES (hundreds!) of bots leveling in poeta and verteron, using follow and doing the exact same actions. We also start seeing goldspammers in LFG as well. Soon the bots will start messing with the economy. So this drop/sell nerf evidently solves exactly 0 problems. It's a stupid decision by the koreans and the original game back when games were made by devs, not by business management economy wise was much MUCH better.

  • The best way vs bots could be adding WAY more loot in instances cause bots cant do this.

I would love that as it motivate ppl into doing a group content rather than just solo farming

However i'm unsure about"bot can't do instance" part -weren't there some cheat software allowing it's user to glitch below/above textures to hit the bosses without taking any damage?

if you consider they literally have power to do anyhing, then nothing gonna help. Only better antibot system, but we have so many server crashes recently that i am aware of any progres in this topic in close future

  • In instances, it appears after a certain amount of time/drops, mobs do not drop anything.

    Every. Single. Time.
And this is not a placebo effect.
There are demonstrably more drops in the first 15-20min than in the latter hour
