"It will be worth farming monsters"

  • From your FAQ pre-launch:

    Quote

There will be loot from monsters in both open world and instances. It will be worth farming monsters, including in Open world.

    * 3 Kromede runs: no stigma, a couple useless manastones

    * Steel rake: 95% mobs are empty, those that aren't, just a HP pot or power shard

Maybe we have a different concept of the meaning of "worth". If this is going the same route as NA (just a lot more expensive), I'll use my Siel's month and out, waste of time.

  • Yeah, what exactly happened to that part?

So far my classic experience is just horrible game experience around every corner with just some extra nostalgia on top

  • What level are you so far? I just bought my lvl40 skills and saw the next ones until 50 are around 5.5M kinah. As mentioned in my previous post about stigmas, this worked in retail when it took a while to level (and we actually had good drop rates), not here with classic's leveling speed.

  • Random mobs you need to kill for regular quest do drop loot that you can sell for pretty penny here and there so idk if that really is the problem

    Except they dont.
0.0001% chance to hit jackpot on the lottery doesn't mean everyone is a millionaire.

  • Ah yes random lvl45 gear while wearing lvl21 gloves as prime example that the game drop is fine.

Lmg, next advice gonna be go spend hours afk crafting so you can buy skillbooks, afford soul sickness or tps?

ppl think cos they get 1 gold drop it will be always like this. When the time will come that you will need kinah to buy skil/items/god-stones and plz don't forget the pain in the a$$ enchantment and socket . Until now for me don't worth to pay even 1 month. 1 Hour siel is ok .

  • I've been enjoying the game so far tbh but kinah -is- an issue. My legionmates mostly hit 50, and they did instances and quests along the way and yet almost nobody could afford all their skills - let alone stigmas. Then arena tickets cost kinah, and quite a lot too. And this isn't even mentioning the ridiculous price of soul sickness... Or that manastones seem more or less nonexistent.

  • Do blue quests, they give kinah. Randomly farming mobs never was worth it imo, except balaur mobs in abyss or for example in some areas in beluslan.

Not saying the droprates in general are as good as back then but you can actually get good kinah if you just change your playstyle a little.

Atleast our version is not made for getting everything at the same time by just leveling/progress in story, you always have to decide if you do campaign for a while for exp only or a series of blue quests for kinah only.

^ This is false. Farming mobs was a very good way to make kinah back in these patches. Grinding calydons for 1h was usually giving you around 10mil kinah. Now it barely gives you 150k. They used to drop a lot of white and green armors, accs and weapons that you could sell. Not to mention flat kinah drop was around 1mil for 1 hour. Now its like 10k.

All this while all NPC prices for skills, soul sickness etc. remain the same as back in the days.

You literally cannot defend or argue against this.

  • I agree that the soul sickness part at least is quite *sick*.

I'm new to the game and yesterday I did my first "Nochsana Training Camp"

Not only did it took me 3 hours as I wiped quite a lot, but I accumulated 185 000 kinah of soul sickness in the process.

Now I insisted because I looted a stigma, so I thought it would make up for the sickness cost reselling it, boy I was wrong.

The damn stigma is worth 50 kinah... And the other mats I got 1000.

I'm at a 184 000 kinah loss for that first dungeon, and will never enter it again.

I will probably never do any hard to tackle content at this point, as a bit too much death means 2 days of intensive farming to make up for the losses.

Actually if this continues i'll just never heal soul sickness again (and I purchased the daeva pass but the way it is, you just can't play without those scrolls in hard content, unless you almost never die - which is hard when you don't know the encounters at all)

    This is broken design.

  • I was for two in abyss for deava pass (100 mobs killing). The loot i got, give me only 40 k, no white, green, blue or gold drop.... only grey shit!!!

  • They forgot to mention "There will be loot in monsters but selling prices of items will be nerfed into the ground while Soulsickness price stays the same and some npc shop items even get increased price." Not even mentioning skill book prices

they forgot the side effect off ''no kinah drop'' . Soul sickness / teleport/ city bind / warehouse/inventory expansion / scrols / potions( if you dont craft) / and ofc CRAFT (craft without kinah = fail) those without kinah you cant play normal

Quests are a little limited, as you should know. Completing every single quest in the game won't give such insane amounts of kinah, which needs to be gained over time anyway.

  • Funny that there is no response of our "Community Manager" now that the game is out and everyone can see the reality. They were so responive and eager to defend the loot system pre launch whenever this topic came up ^^

Also to mention im now lvl 31 and im sitting on 1mil kinah back then (release- 1 month pre 2.0) at that point i already had 5 mil without any kind of grind, so no one should even try to tell me they didn't manipulated the droprates and sellprices of basicly everything.

  • According Vash Drestam is now the main CM for Aion, i guess it's quite horrible timing to start working with so many things going on, but can we atleast get some official info on what is considered a problem and what will be ignored? Last days felt pretty bad
