Can't connect to the servers, anyone have the same problem? (Aion Classic)

    I think the support is more a callcenter with people who type issues into a program mask and hope for a solution.
    This error is so old as the game by itself and there is still no workaround/fix after all the years ...

    You should have said right away thet we are not ready yet for another week or two. And then a wipe on the second day is not ok)

    I've been having the same issue for 2 days already, cannot connect to the authorization server, I've tried all the possible fixes I found over the internet, everyone is like at least 20 lvls up, I thought I would be able to catch up in the weekend, if tomorrow it's not fixed, I'm asking for a refund, I can't have patience and understanding when they have the same issues as 13 years ago...it's not acceptable, you would think people learn from their mistakes in 13 years, where is that experience?

    worse than the error is this ignorance on the part of gameforge here in the forum. you are only referred to the support and this only has tips which are not helpful

    I will also get my money back because the service was not rendered, paypal will take care of that for me

    Actually changing my Internet provider worked for me, so it's either my IP banned, wich i don't think is the case, or some issue with the connection with their servers....nothing related with file system, game files or what they say in the copypasta from support.... Anyway after 13y it's a shame and honestly it's very frustrating

    this was just luck. there is no no guaranteed solution.
    i tried to set my connection from normal ethernet, router to mobile phone - hotspot/lte. no success

    As you sayed this problem is already very old, it started to happen at the beginning of the original aion already and at some time to me aswell. From my experience and what i have readed back then it´s a problem with the aion servers having issues connecting to some routes from your provider or your connection or something like that. This will usually fix itself sooner or later and i think it may be an aftereffect of the DDoS attack the aion servers had.


    Sometimes i fixed it with a router reboot but mostly it happens due to some server/ISP/provider problems which can occur from both sides, the aion servers or your provider and in this case you can just wait or contact your provider. It´s more or less like disruption providers have in some areas, lasting sometimes a day, sometimes a few days.

    I did this after 2 days of frustration and it worked for me:


    1. I followed this internet optimization guide, TCP Optimizer.


    2. I uninstalled not only Aion, but also Gameforge Client.


    3. Rebooted the PC


    4. Re-installed Gameforge Client and Aion

    still no help pasting only rigid solutions to an individual problem, even though it is a mass problem, the same for many players. At the moment the game has stopped turning on, a red bar appears at the top with a message that the game is not available for me. it's the weekend and we can't play, failure ...

    yesterday i could use moblie connection to play, today even that is no more an option, im pretty sure we are considered as some kind of risk to their algorithms which was placed there to prevent Ddos or packet manipulation...
